Try the Candlewood Suites. there are two that I know . One is in Cary, which is about 4 miles from Raleigh , and it is very private but near a small shopping center. The other Candlewood is at "Crabtree Mall". A good number of providers, both the locals and those on tour use these. The accommodations are good.
For about 50-60 bucks a nite, you get king bed, microwave, refrig.,etc. and privacy. Get a room on the upper floor.
Good luck. There are a lot of providers in that area.... hundreds!!
