I ask the lady to PLEASE count it. I'd feel very bad if I had short-changed her. My reputation is very precious to me! And, so is my credit rating!
I usually never post a message on this or any other board. I watch but most of the time keep quiet. However, there is one thing that gets under my skin and I really feel a need to say something.
Whenever a provider doesn't perform to expectations, most of the time it shows in the review. There is not much said about the Rip Off hobbiest. Recently, a very good friend of mine opened an envelope to retrieve the fee and found that she had been left with eleven dollars. She has also been cheated by the jerk from Savannah who has pulled the same stunt on many of our Carolina ladies.
I have never known a lady that was in the business for fun. The vast majority of them need the income to provide for themselves and in some cases their children. I have always considered a meeting to be just like a business agreement. Have even paid for meetings that I missed because I had reserved time and was not able to keep the appointment. Maybe I don't fit the standard mold, but I sleep much better knowing I have not taken advantage of a lady.
Most of us appreciate the fact that ladies are there when we need them. And they should receive the small reward of being treated well and not cheated.
Sorry, but just wanted to get this off my chest.
This story illustrates the need for providers and agencies to properly verify and then share bad client information when appropriate. I have no idea whether this provider verified properly but lets assume she did. Verifying properly also means NEVER see a client if you don't know his real name and he doesn't show you a driver's license that displays his photo and real name. Assuming this provider verified properly she would at least have this guy's real name which would greatly reduce the likelyhood that he would pull this again.
Of course, if she had this info on the culprit, one phone call could get the money back but that's another story. ![]()

That we hobbyist find it offensive when the lady counts the $ in our presences. I doubt if any of us would accept an envelope full of money from the bank teller and simply trust it is the correct ammount. One of my faves in DC gets blasted now and then because she always takes the money out of the envelope and counts it . So what ! I know I sure as hell would. Sometimes even honest mistakes happen...I once put an extra hundred in...got a real nice email late from the lady thanking me for the generous tip! I also shorted a lady $50..I'm glad she caught it and knew me well enough to know it was unintentional and I would make it up the next appt. It happens. Ladies..count the damn money! We'll get over it.
My Friend always verifies new clients. Either by references from other ladies or by employment, etc. However, what would a lady do if shorted. Not wanting to put herself in jeopardy, she just accepted it. Also, she was roughed up one time and some of her personal belongings were stolen. If the police are notified, then the lady is in a very bad position. She was also hit by the fat assed Jerk from Savannah and cheated out of 300. I have another friend who was cheated out of 900 for a 3 hour session. The man walked her to the door, grabbed the envelope with the money, pushed her out of the door and locked it. She certainly could not call the police and had to just walk away. In my opinion, all of these circumstances are nothing other than theft. I have actually paid for missed appointments. Ladies have expenses such as motel rooms and travel, and should be treated well. Some guys make two or three appointments, pick one at the last minute and leave the other ladies out. That's a dirty deal too. Missed appointments are time that a lady could use to see another client.
If you have his real name (verified by viewing his driver's license) one phone call should resolve the problem.
Guys, I know you don't like this idea and it certainly shouldn't be use as retribution (for a bad review, for instance) but a well run agency wouldn't tolerate a short envelope and neither should an indy. There is a reason why characters like this prey on indies...because they feel they can.
NO THEY CAN'T!!!

Are usually out of town guys. They have good references from ladies in their area but then they try to stiff ladies they visit in other towns. I had that happen for the 1st time recently. I got a reference from a Cola lady that I trust. She called him a great client and I guess he is for her. But while I went to get a warm washcloth, he removed the envelope from my bag. I know, a rookie mistake on my part not taking the bag with me. He did make good but I was shocked that he even tried since I've never had this happen before.
ladies in Atlanta last year. There were several postings about this. If memory serves me right, I believe the reference is from someone in Savannah who pretends to be provider but they are in it together.
Providers and hobbysts together got rid of this guy from Atlanta so he must be striking ladies in the Carolinas. All I can say is be careful and work together to get rid of this a****hole!
This same guy from Savannah got my friend in late 04 or early 05. I had his name and phone number at one time. May still have it but I bet he has changed names and probably uses one of those cheap prepaid phones. He is a big guy, fat with scars on his upper body and tries to keep a shirt on. He more than likely has stolen ten thousand dollars worth of favors. I actually made up the loss to my friend because she had not had a good week and really needed the money. This is one that I would like to meet up with.
Ladies, just check the guys well. It is always best to see a known client. I very seldom have a problem seeing a lady, but then I almost always stick to our Carolina ladies. Have never been turned down for a second session. When you come right down to it, we are in the business together and should treat each other as such. Good luck, Guess it will be awhile before I post again. Have a good weekend.
thanks shadetree for starting this dialogue. And thanks for contributing to a post I started on another site.
I still find it interesting that we guys want the local ladies to be available when we need or desire them but how many can't be considerate of their needs and stability. We want them to be in business for us but don't seem to be concerned about supporting them properly.
I agree with the other posts that the ladies should count the money up front. I discussed this with a lady this week and her comment was it might impact the possibility of a tip if she counted the $$ at the front end of the appointment. I replied to her was it better to have the full correct amount of the fee and stand to lose the tip or better to take a gamble on getting a tip at the end when the guy gave her his envelope. She finally agreed with me - she should and would count the $$ upfront.
So Ladies be careful in all your dealings - financial and safety. We credible guys want to support the local ladies and have you available when we need you. Play safe and play smart - make sure you get treated courtestly and fairly - both physically and monetarily.
The best advice that I have seen given is when in doubt it is better to back out than proceeding. This advice applies to both the ladies and the guys.
Happy hobbying!!!!
Once again I repeat,
IT ALL STARTS WITH PROPER VERICATION WHICH SHOULD *** ALWAYS *** INCLUDE GETTING THE GENT'S REAL NAME AND THEN CHECKING HIS NAME AND APPEARANCE AGAINST HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE!!! PERIOD!!! END OF STORY!!!
If you don't verify properly and then compound the error by opening the envelope and counting the officer, YOU'RE AN IDIOT PURE AND SIMPLE!!!
There is a reason why providers ask you to put the money in a plain envelope and then discretely leave the envelope on a table.
Ladies, don't be stupid, NEVER COUNT THE MONEY IN FRONT OF A CLIENT! This is the worst advice you could ever follow!

I always ,make sure I scree properly. When gent comes over check ID & ask "can we take care of things"?which means put the envelope on table before session. Then I ask if he needs to use restroom freshen up etc. Then I open envelope count the $$$ ,take it out of envelope, hide it somewhere only I would know in the room &put the empty envelope back where he left it.Caution ladies if you open the envelope in front of client & any talk of MONEY you can very FAST be arrested. The moneyt is a delicate manner.Be safe.
I'm confused and I'm sure others are. Your subject says that the ladies should count the money but your test says NEVER COUNT THE MONEY IN FRONT OF A CLIENT. Please clarify your intended message. I truly agree with you that verification of ID and name is the most important thing.
Sorry about the confusion. The subject line was a quote from your post (hence the Re
. My point was to disagree.
