On the date-check application, there is a field for military personnel that asks for a "base locator number". Does anybody know what that is? I don't know if I'm being asked for the base telephone operator's number, or a zip code, or a grid coordinate, or some 3 or 4 digit code that I've never heard of.

Every base has a base locater, the provider wants to be able to call that number and ask  them to give them your phone number and unit to confirm that you are who you say you are.
