I was kidding you but then again I am not a girl and you know what your safety threshold is  so maybe I should rethink my cutting up ;)

Just saw on the morning news that a serial killer is on the loose in Cherokee county.  About 40 miles south of Charlotte.  I am cancelling my Charlotte trip at this time and will reschedule at a later date.  The serial killer is a 40 something white male.  Be safe everyone.  Madison

I would have to drive through there (85 North).  There are FBI agents at check points everywhere.  And who knows where this guy is going to strike again.  I have several clients in Greenville (45 miles away) and I won't be back there again until this is resolved.  You also have to understand my fear that prostitutes are 40% more likely to be targeted by a serial killer.  I am sorry about my cancellation.  I did want to come for a Charlotte visit.  Kindly, Madison

Not sure if you had thought about the geography or if you did if it mattered to you or not.

There are other ways to get to Charlotte than coming up 85.

You could drive a little farther South if you are coming from the Atlanta direction and get to Columbia and turn left and head North.

Or I guess head to Knoxville or something close and take 40 to Asheville, head down the hill to Statesville and turn right, head South into Charlotte.

I realize the area you are trying to avoid and why, just thought I would mention a couple of other routes into Charlotte.

I agree with you have family in Athens area and if was going to see them I would take another route right now than 85.

Ok just was not sure if you had thought about that.
