Why should he when the best can be had for under $250!!!???!!!  I don't give PUBLIC recommendations, so I'll not mention her by name (nor did you mention who "the best" was).  But your advice indicates that he can't find what he's looking for for under $250, which is sooooo NOT THE CASE!!  If he's smart, he's already figured it out by now.

E- welcome to the hobby.  Being new, I'll give you more advice than I normally do.  

While price is a key criteria, typically it is one of the worst criterias on which to start your research.  Use the analogy of buying a car.  If your price limit is $10,000, you can find lots of cars out there for under that price.  Problem is without knowing what kind of car you want, you could still end up buying something you don't want.  Cheap junk is still junk.  A bad $200 experience is a waste of $200.

In most things in life there is a correlation between price and quality.  But you will find in this hobby there is too much variation in quality to assume that is true.  Some $400/hr ladies are not worth it and some $200/hr ladies are worth more.  

I suggest then you consider what it is you really want in terms of looks and performance first and then consider price.  Decide first whether you want a BMW, Camry or Yugo.  If you know you want a BMW, you can then focus your research to get the best BMW at the best price.  For instance, recently I could have bought a great, low mileage preowned BMW for under $10,000, but I never would have found that deal if I wasn't looking specifically for that make/model.  Same in this hobby.  It has taken me a while, after 20 reviews I know what I want in an experience.  My hope is you won't have to get to 20 reviews to find what you want.
