Really? I've found information on girls with postings like this. Sometimes it's tough to find info. on a girl (name changes, number changes, etc.). But picture is worth a thousand words.
And that info. that I've found, was their profile right here on TER.

Just looking at that girls profile above...you have to pay on a site to get verified to see her...if you guys just dig a bit...you can tell whos bait and whos legit.
And I COMPLETELY agree with Funtimes..this is TER. If you want to know about a backpage..or CL girl..go ask on Backpage or CL.

You're making some silly assumptions. You're entirely right that it's pretty easy to tell something is BS if the ad. is saying you need to join a pay site to get contact information. Maybe the guy's a dumbass. I don't know, and I don't care. But this one post is anecdotal. There are dozens of similar posts that point to ads that are actually legit ads.
There are a lot of girls that post on BP and other sites who also have reviews on TER. There are also girls who don't even know they have reviews on TER. Like I said, I've posted similar questions and have been directed to reviews right here on TER. Reviews that I could not find b/c they were under a different name/number/agency. But someone who had seen her before saw my post and kindly replied/pm-ed with a link to the girl's profile.
It doesn't take a high school grad. to realize the upside of that.
There is nothing in the discussion board policies about these type of posts. If it's a real issue, put it in the discussion board policies.
Since coming on board as your moderator I have witnessed at least five expulsions from agencies, hobbyist, and providors from THIS board. I know for a fact that there are women who are asking guys to do a Shill posting for them and giving them a highly reduced session.
I also know for certain that some of these lesser known women are asking guys to do just what is being done, post my ad on TER and ask if anyone knows of me. She gets a free ad, and it places all of the other paying peoples ads one more step off the front page, and why is this done? Unreputable providors, bait and switch girls, as you said, this one you need to join a web site for. We don't need that crap on here. If you want to know about a girl, there are many very good investigative techniques, facial recognition web sites, and a host of other things you can use.
My thinking is to keep this about TER, that's why people come here. You don't go to Burger King and order a Big Mac. Why come here and advertise a Backpage girl? It's a slap in the face to the women on TER. I don't think it's fair.

This isn't about ladies posting. There are a lot of ladies with profiles and reviews on TER that DO NOT post. There are also a lot of reviewers who do not post. You're right that the ladies who post are legit, but there are a lot of ladies with profiles who don't post... not even when they're visiting.
The beauty about TER is the reviews. You can use reviews to discern whether a girl is worth the time and effort. Is she what you're looking for, etc. Another benefit is various discussion boards. One type being local boards where you can discuss the hobby in your specific city/state/region. As far as I know, the regional boards aren't just for providers to post ads. They're also for hobbyists to discuss things going on in the region.
Most of the girls I've seen were visiting. And most did not advertise on TER. I found that they were in town from other sites. Yet it was here on TER that I found their reviews. And it's those reviews that made me decide to meet them. The providers that actually post here, are just a small percentage of the providers available and with reviews on TER.
Stepping out of the shadows for a moment here...I'm going to say a couple of things that have been said before and most of us know:
These days a monkey smacking on a keyboard long enough will be able to put together a website. Anyone that can bother to post on CL or NewCL (aka BP) should be able to put together a website.
Once that step is done, it isn't brain surgery to set up your profile here and whatever other comparable sites.
If someone can't get it together enough to complete steps one through three... then I'm pretty suspect if they can properly screen and all the other incidental bits I want to know are happening behind the scenes.
If the pictures are amazing then they should be sitting on a website. If they aren't on a website, then I seriously question if the pics are legit.
I go through this kind of thinking process all the time. I don't post reviews of all that I've seen for all sorts of reasons.
Bottom line, though... this is a dot com. Not a dot org or dot net -- that means it's a business and therefore I expect it to act like a business.

I was under the impression that businesses catered to paying customers and their wants/needs (like myself).
Again, I see posts on BP/CL/CV/EROS all the time for girls with sites and TER profiles. Sometimes there's no link directly to their site from their ad (sometimes there is), but I come here, find their profile and then find the link to their site in their profile.
And guess what, sometimes they change names and numbers and are difficult/impossible to find on TER without additional info. Asking a local hobbyist board can save a lot of time and effort. Not to mentions give you someone you may be able to directly contact for info. Maybe even someone who didn't write a review. I've also gotten messages from girls (who post here) saying "hey, the girl you're asking about is my travel buddy. yada yada yada, here are her TER reviews, yada yada yada."
If TER is for those who hobby and ONLY girls who post on the boards to interact, that's news to me. And my mistake. But if that's not the case, there's no "well reasoned" explanation for why these type of posts shouldn't occur. Hobbyists should be able to come here and communicate with other local hobbyists about HOBBY related topics (not just TER topics).
Shill posts are one thing, I understand that entirely. But I do not see how a legitimate "have you seen/411 on X" post is hurting anything. I get that it may push a provider's ad down the page. But the boards are for hobbyists as well as providers, right? And what if I was posting a different type of message? For ex. "question for the guys; what type of girls would you like in a threesome?" - that pushes the ads. down as well. I'm not saying there's a problem with that type of post (i don't think there is at all), I'm just saying that the "moves ads down" argument isn't applied to that type of post, so it shouldn't be applied to other types.
So once you take that away, and you take out shill posts, what's the problem? I've consistently pointed out the pros. Where are the cons that apply specifically to these types of posts and not to posts which are being allowed/not censored?
