Greensboro does not have good public transportation. If you plan on driving there are some nice tourist type attractions nearby but there has got to be a reason that we get so few visiting providers. I am not being disrespectful to those that live here or visit. If you tell me your tourist interest I would be glad to do some local to Greensboro research. No strings, I just like for people to enjoy my state.

I've been wanting to venture into North Carolina for awhile, any suggestions or advices  on where to visit....  Hotel, public tran, dining, good places to be a tourist etc would be appreciated....

The bigger cities like Raleigh and Charlotte will be easier for you as far as public transportation and having close access to dining, retail etc. Downtown Charlotte is a lot of fun, lots to do, and the South Park area of Charlotte is probably other best area to stay. Upscale, easy access for clients. I'd stay away from the airport area of Charlotte unless you have to, there's not much there, and its not in a good area.

If you like the mountains Asheville is a great place, beautiful city. The coast has places like Wilmington, that are near the ocean, and offer a different and fun scene.

Raleigh is the capital, and together with Durham and Chapel Hill, the overall area is known as "The Triangle". RDU airport and Research Triangle Park are located right in the midst , and they are an easy place to stay, you'll be easily accessible from clients in all three areas. Crabtree is the other popular area of Raleigh to stay, its the area surrounding Crabtree Valley Mall, and there is lots of fine dining and retail to check out. Or downtown Raleigh is an option too. Staying in downtown areas can be tricky though, not always as easy for clients to get there in a timely fashion, and especially to find parking.

It is an absolute desert.
Winston is much much worse, and lately even worse than that. Er, I mean come to Winston Salem, we have um, we've got... Yeah ok, I got nothing.

Well we did invent cancer. Sadly, that's about it.

I go to Greensboro to play anyway.

I'm visiting to "Provide my Services" so areas that cater to that would be appreciated in the recommendations but I always like to take some "Tourist Time" for myself cuz I love to visit new cities... I would prefer an area with public trans accessible/cab/car service since I will not be driving....   Also, any suggestions to where to advertise & get as much exposure would be gratefully appreciated.... Also knowledge of safety measures too.... :-) :-) .....

Thank you all very much for your inputs & I'm really excited to explore & venture to North Carolina!!! I heard its beautiful!!!

Happy Presidents Day

Your photography skills are showing...

A brief introduction to the South:

Y'all   - singular or plural
All y'all  - plural for many
All y'all's - plural possessive

Thus endeth the first lesson in speaking Southern.  Now, slow down two gears from Chicago and you'll have a great time here.  Some very friendly people.  Many happen to be Yankees.

Yankee  - someone from north of the Mason-Dixon line who comes South to visit
Damn Yankee - same as above, but decides to stay

Thus endeth the second lesso

I was raise in Dallas Tx ..... So please refrain from giving me a lesson in southern "Etiquette" .... Lol ......
