So what's up with the ladies that will not see African-American customers?  Please,please do not misunderstand me, I am not going into any debate about who these ladies choose to see.  I am just wondering if it is purely a personal choice or if African-American customers have been problematic?  I've been seeing an increase in the number of providers making this choice.

It seems odd for them to limit their customer base.

Unfortunately, I have also seen a rise in the ladies we employ that do not want to see African American genlteman, I am not sure what it is about, but I do let them know they are limiting their clientelle.

On the upside, there are several beautiful ladies that will entertain any gentleman as long as he is polite and respectful to her.

Gabby, please enlighten us!! I've always wondered the same thing myself.  Could we get a provider to give the board an honest answer(s)?

-Do they not tip enough?
-Are they rude?
-Boyfriend is racist?

I wouldn't have the answers to any of those questions, sorry. I already put my opinion out there once, since inquiring minds wanted an honest answer from someone, and I got slammed for it. Its a very touchy subject, after all.

I have one lady who wont see african american gentleman because her boyfriend is african american and she is afraid he may know the client...

I have heard that some ladies still believe in the old stereotype...They are "bigger" and they are nervous that the client may be to big for them.

Years ago I had one lady who didnt want to see anyone but african american gentleman because thats what she was attracted to in everyday life.

I guess to each her own, but I dont think it has anything to do with tipping or being rude at all, at least from what i have heard...however, I am just speculating on  this..

Here is my thought.

Things here in the South haven't caught up with the rest of thw world. If you are white and you see African Americans..perhaps you might not get any more White clients.

I know..I know...this sounds so backwards. But this is the south.

I wish I could say there is no way racism or prejudice was the reason.

Thank you all for your comments.  It was never my intention to put any provider in a position to "justify" her choices.  I was curious but more than that I was concerned that some element of African-American clients were giving the rest of us a bad rep.  I know that I make a point of being respectful and courteous whenever I see a provider.  This approach should be learned in HOBBYING 101.

My best clients have been African American. I do think its a ladies choice in the matter..but in my opinion..any color male can turn out to be an asshole...disrepectful...its all about screening. In my experience all of my male friends..regardless of color have been the best
