I've never joined, but some really nice members have saved my ass a couple of hundred bucks a few times by calling for me.  Trust me, you never know when you'll need a friend on the side of a strange road on a holiday or Sunday.

Now if your talking about AAA Entertainment in Hickory, stay away...

Now ladies, anyone offer AARP discounts?

It is time for my AAA renewal and was wanting feedback.
I as of yet have never used my AAA membership for towing or road side assistance.

Is a AAA membership worth it for you guys? Thoughts and comments are welcomed and appreciated.

BTW, Do any of you Ladies offer a AAA discount? lol

Thanks!

As someone who travels extensively for work, its well worth it.  Others like it just for piece of mind while they are driving a distance.

I guess its like Onstar from GM, you may not use it much, but your VERY greatful you had it when you need it.  Plus, you can often make your money back on it with discounts on various other services.  Not sure if the hobby qualifies as one, that would be up to the ladies.  LOL

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I look at it like insurance, against needing a tow, lock out, changing flats, etc.  One tow charge more than pays for it for several yrs.

Also, you can go into your local AAA office and pick up maps and other printed materials (including coupons) for just about any destination (all FREE).  I always stop in b4 going away on vacation.

That was very helpful! Thanks!

It's worth the $99.  I've used it several times and each time it has paid for itself.  In fact, just this past month, the battery on my car died right while I was in middle of a busy intersection.  I was able to get a jump and barely make it home.  Used AAA to tow the car to the mechanic.  Admittedly I drive an older car that I plan to run into the ground...but it sure is very handy when my car gets cantankerous.

Also, I use the free maps, trip planning service and discounted movie tickets.  Heck, even my parents call me to ask for free maps!

Cantankerous lol.

That was funny.

Thank you for your feedback.
