Others may disagree but I would avoid North Hills and downtown because parking sucks. I would want to see someone very badly to deal with than. Crabtree is the most central location but Hotels are limited. RDU and Mooresville are where I see most girls. easy access to RDU airport. Many quality Hotels in all price ranges in this area.    

When I visited in 2025 I accidentally stayed somewhere that was inconvenient. Luckily everything worked out. Last month I made sure to book a hotel that was more centrally located. Midtown Raleigh seemed to be a good option.

 
Also Raleigh is somewhat compact so if you stay in Midtown or even closer to RDU, it's relatively easy to get back and forth between those locations and Downtown.

 
Raleigh has lots of lovely attractions. I got to visit a few of them. Others are on my wish list for next time around. Have a great trip!
