You should look around some more. Not everyone here has low rates.  
You can charge whatever you want.  
The market will determine if you're worth it or not.  
As for PSE, If a guy tried PSE stuff with me, I'd kick his ass...well maybe not but  
I wouldn't see him again. Not cool. I know ladies that stopped offering PSE for this reason.  

if things are so good.  I mean you could earn more money.  It's called supply and demand.  You can certainly charge the same in the Carolinas but like I say you may be better off in the DC area.

Keep it simple. If you enjoy offering and providing both experiences keep doing so. If the guy as you say gets pissy then either end the meeting or finish it and do not see him again. Blacklisting him or not is your call. But if he is trying to get something he hasn't agreed to pay for, it is simple he either pays it or doesn't get it. I understand that it can ruin the mood but look at it this way, if he was so mad about it that it ruined the mood you don't want to see hime again anyway. Do things on your terms or don't do them at all. Not to sound silly but you have the goods he wants, I am sure you make it clear with him and everyone what your time will be like before you get intimate. Bag the guy and move on.

As to rates for PSE versus GFE I'm not a lady so I can't give you much insight there. It's like this if I tell a customer upfront it's 3500.00 for a new air conditioner or 5800.00 for an air conditioner and a new furnace and all you give me is the 3500.00 guess what you're getting? So I'm with you if you pay for the AC and expect a free furnace, well not happening so I can sympathize with you there and personally wouldn't get pissey with you if we ever met.

You can compare housing costs between DC & where you are and decide that if you moved you either would make more $$$ at higher rates or not & then decide if you want to move.  It does no good to complain about it, it's economic facts, cost of living in DC is substantially higher, yes you can make more $$$ for appts. but it'll cost you (a lot) more to live there.  Next tier is NYC, ladies in NYC can charge a lot more but they pay a whole lot more in rent, etc.  The skill sets involved in being a provider are quite transportable to anywhere, but the cost of living has a lot to do with prevailing rates you can charge & still attract enough business.  If you want to work in NYC, LA, San Fran, Chicago, DC etc. yes you can charge more but it will also cost you more to live there, and those are the same costs your clients are living with every day.  I see a lot of ladies coming to DC from NYC & their rates are nearly always high, ladies come from the Carolinas & their rates are lower.  The NYC ladies may be charging less than they would in NYC, and the Carolina ladies may be charging more than they can get at home, it's all simple economics.  That's why big companies have large market research staffs so they can figure out what they can charge in NYC vs. Dubuque Iowa.  It's just the way economics works!

so generally speaking, the cost for everything is higher ------ including "service" related business models. The average income is also higher. Factor it all together and BAM ..... that's why you got 400 to 600. Basic economics. The same can be said for NYC, Chicago, etc.

Market saturation can have as much an impact as the local economy, cost of living etc. The reputation of the lady could also play into effect, especially if a lot of choice in a similar price range. Also with the higher price ranges you mentioned it can create a sense of exclusivity among guys who enjoy thinking they have reached a status in life. Some guy telling his buddies yeah I spend 500 an hour on my ladies thinking he's a high roller. Simple marketing put a higher price on something and it has to be better LOL!! Not always true as price versus value but it sure does work in America. Certain areas of the state would be more open to higher rates, Charlotte probally more so than the Triad but then again more competition there so goes back to what you said about market saturation. Since I've been so serious here I just gotta say, dang you're smart and well spoken I have got to get out of the backwoods here and come see you one day!!

I hear there is a lot of NCNS and other nonsense there, and I'm guessing you can charge extra because everything is so ridiculously expensive there.  I've tried to tour here and there but I like my sexy RTP geeks if you check out the other boards you can see that the Carolina men/women are more polite and don't cause a bunch of drama.  As for GFE/PSE I suppose you just have to establish your limits.  I'm more of an all inclusive girl but I do what I'm comfortable with according to how I'm feeling and how comfortable I am with the client.

Something that I have encountered here in Columbia is that there are these few other BP providers who seek out TER reviews on local, more upscale, Providers and contact the person who wrote the review to offer their services at super low rates and will even pretend to be one of "your girlfriends".  
These girls change their names constantly on their bp ads and have numerous google voice phone #s and their rates are usually 75 hlf hr to 175 hr.

 So how many appointments did you get in that range one might ponder to ask, even in DC. In DC, the gents able, willing and expecting to incur that much for an appointment, wouldn't be seeing just anyone. Especially someone with basically a lack of proper advertising such as yourself. Not that many of them, if any.  
   
 So basically, yeah, I am calling donkey doo doo on that. What the hell.  
   
 If you want that range travel to the cities I mentioned before more often but the competition is steep and you are never going to make it with the quality of advertisements that you currently have online. Your advertisements SCREAM under 300/hr. They actually scream 200/hr with half hour rates offered .
