bigfootisreal16 is a new board name in the area) Yes! HE Is REAL! My first Xmas away from home in the military, I went with a W.Va. guy who had family in Applegate Ca, or something close to that name. I had the car and he had the $. The old Pontiac had a tendency to not want to start at times, but when you are 17 and experiencing life on your own for the first time, who cares if you get suspended on a dark night in the middle of no where in Cali) Besides I was looking forward to a family Xmas, with a big home cooked meal;P~~~
Off we go from Oregon to somewhere below Sacramento, where I had to pull over for a lil sleep. A short time later in the night this horrible scream/growl came from the woods beside the car, causing both of us to bolt upright and look at one another wide-eyed! We said, at the same time, "Let's get the Faruck out of here!!!" The engine was a little balky, but finally turned over, and we roared off!!!  

I've spent many years in the wilderness on both sides of the U.S., and was a Forest Ranger in the South for a bit, and I have heard both mtn lions, bears growl and scream, and the above was NOT EVEN CLOSE to either, soooo, Virginia, Yes, there is a Big Foot, and maybe a Santa Clause, too)  Remind me to tell you the story of being stalked in the mtns by an x-hubby with a shotgun sometime---EEK!
