It's hotter than a barnyard here, ain't it?  

That sounded so country for a California girl, I must be fitting in!  

Just joking, I stand out so much here. But, that's not a bad thing.  

Everyone assumes I LOVE Asian cuisine, but I actually love me some friend chicken.  

Is it too hot out for fried food? What's the best place here?

I like the small local places. Fried Chicken need to try Prices Chicken Coop off South Blvd. For good burgers Mr Ks in the same area on South Blvd.

Prices sounds expensive. Get it :)

One can never go wrong with a chicken joint called 'coop'.  

Every so often I like a good burger, medium with blue cheese perhaps

You're along way from home!  (I had a Client, the Navy, in San Diego years ago - went there several times)

I moved here from "up north" years ago - I'll take the heat vs. F'ing snow all day long - I never hafta shovel the heat!

I don't do chicken at all, fried or otherwise.  Have you had Southern barbecue?! - excellent IMHO

See you are heading to Raleigh in a few days; you come further east, you will find plenty of hot food; eastern NC BBQ is great; get east of I9
