Posting Guidelines...Has the rules changed?angry_smile

Posting guidelines appear to be very inconsistent from one TER board to the other.  The guidelines clearly state the following:

HOW OFTEN MAY ADS BE POSTED?

Providers may post one ad thread per 7 day period. For example, if you post an ad on Saturday, on the following Saturday you may post a new ad.

The "one ad per 7 days" rule means you can post one ad per week on one board here at TER. You cannot post one ad to two or more boards in the same week unless there are multiple regional boards local to you.

The only exception to the above rules is - when touring, providers may also post one ad per week on the board for the city they will be visiting to announce their visit. The dates of the visit should be included in the subject line of the ad.

Escort agencies may post one ad thread per 7-day period per region they serve. For updates or for posting information about multiple providers that work for the agency, please post to the agency's current ad thread.

Posts regarding contact info, availability, schedule changes, new website announcements, or new pics all count as ad posts. Updates may be added as posts to the original thread during the 7-day period.

Help us keep it fair for all by reporting violations of the ad post limits to the local moderator of the board on which it appears.

Most providers post with no problems following the rules, however, there is a certain provider who has become a "Board Hog" and seems to disregard the guidelines without any comment or recourse, while many other new & existing providers are having difficulty or being moderated when posting ads.

I myself & other providers have discussed there frustration publically on other boards with difficulty of posting ads on trivial things like tours or the posts being removed because no TER logo is on the site, when there is.

How is it that the rules apply to some but not to others?

not fair to the rest of us that wait our 7 days.

I have noticed the same, proably from the same provider! I noticed this weeks ago, so its truly obvious! I should post an ad today for a special and see if it sticks, probably not being that is supposed to be a starting thread, but, oh well! W.T.F!

I see a couple of them post over and over the same week and mine gets deleted if I just post on someones elses..

Her narcissistic period will come to an end. 'Til then, ignore her. If you let her get to you, she has won!!!

I've checked her website, and in my opinion... she's nothing to write home about!!

"Posts regarding contact info, availability, schedule changes, new website announcements, or new pics all count as ad posts. Updates may be added as posts to the original thread during the 7-day period."

So based on that alone, a few different posts within one weeks time, posting various pictures, and mentioning the same city, should be against the rules, right? Just sayin.

Just my opinion whether right or wrong ,just how I'm feeling at the time :)

No offense Lakey

but my posts were deleted.  I even tried to quote the posting guidelines and the response I got was "this topic has been discussed previously."  There is a total inequity in treatment between posters on this board.  The inexperience of our new mod doesn't help, but the last was her best buddy, too.  Politics are everywhere.

Welcome back to high school.

if I had seen your post. I have been busy with end of school this last month or so.
I did notice that the posting was out of control, but also knew we had a new mod. I pm'd him and asked him if he was moderating and where he was from. I wanted, I guess to see if he was okay. I had not really seen a post except for the first day when he took over. He replied to me and that was that.
I think you can see that many ladies did and do feel the same way.
We just need to give it some time. I have also posted a friendly reminder about posting quidelines, but mine was not taken down. sorry I missed yours.
Whoever you are!!

Let's all keep this community-like adventure/hobby  :) kinda sister-like attitude and keep this board fun and friendly. Remember it is not a board just for advertising, but for discussions. And this was a great one. And Aubrey Jo, when she posts again, will be treated just like we all want to be treated. Some times people get full of themselves. I bet it happens to us all!!  :)
At some point we come back down to earth.

That's what friends are for!

I had NO IDEA agreeing to offer a free service (being a moderator) would be such a pain in the butt. The part I still have not figured out (and have asked for guidance from the top person) is how to tell when a post is part of a post or when it is a new post.
Once on the board in the view you guys see, and the view I saw as a hobbyist, it is extremely easy to see if a posting is part of another posting, or if it is a totally new post. It is obvious, because of how they are sorted or grouped together.

However, looking in the moderator’s queue, they are all together like a bulleted list (without the bullets). So, when I see a post from person ABC on June 1st and then on June 2nd, and both posts discuss their booking availability with a link to their website, it seems to me in my “inexperienced moderator eyes” that this is two posts in two days, and the rule states one post every seven days.

Then you have an escort post her add, then post again (saying she is just answering a question), but also includes her link and the same advertising information that the post two days ago had in it. Or, maybe she will just post again the 3rd day showing a picture of her ass, but also has to include more than the ass (like her website link, and the same advertising stuff as the day before). To me, this is yet another post within 7 days.

Of course, I have received about 10 emails complaining that their post has been waiting for 14 hours to go up! When I go to bed, I am caught up. I sleep all night, go to work all day, and it makes perfect sense to me that there will be MANY times a post will take 14 or better yet 18 hours to go up.

When I am shown an easy way from the moderator queue how to distinguish when a post is a new posting, and when a posting is building on an existing posting, then maybe all will be happy (except for the people who post when I am finished for the night – it will still be over 14 hours) – no apology for that

Maybe a retired person who lives on the computer 24/7 would be better at this. If you are interested in volunteering, PLEASE put your name in the hat.

To the eighty percent, thanks for your support.
Lakeboy

This has been going on for months. I haven't posted an ad in a few weeks but I still read the boards. If you just look under this post you can see a few ADS she has written, plain as day. I guess what we are all trying to say is this, Aubrey Jo, limit your ads to one a week.
You are showing more than your ass and it is against the rules. Apparently, MANY members have noticed.
The Mod can put you on "moderation" until you learn(remember) how to follow the rules.

So funny, a few weeks ago when I went out of town on another TER board, I said, damn, this chick AGAIN! A post was just made to both this board and the other board. And everytime that I looked up, there  went another ad- of hers! We all make mistakes- sometimes, but when you are just being totally negligent to the rules that all others are forced to go by, than you should be called out. Ya know!?

That must have been the DC board. I saw it there, too.
The thing is this. Her business has to be doing well. Especially since her posting style has been continous for the last 6 months.
I love it when everyone participates on the boards.
I also love the passion that all you ladies have shown in this thread. I think it's a good thing to stand up and be counted.
Hopefully this will bring an end to the problem.
I do have to remark about our previous mod, Fuzzy. He did not favor Aubrey Jo, in my opinion. He did have a very relaxed moderating style, but I don't believe he plays favorites.
This forum is the busiest forum in the industry. It does require a bit of time to moderate. Yes our mods are volunteers. And yes, us ladies are providing for our families besides our friends.
It is in our best interest that we participate on here and follow the rules and last but not least

HAVE FUN

When Lakeboy took over I posted an ad and it was waiting for like a day and a half so I thought something was wrong so I messaged him & admin.

But after I didn't hear back for a while I then made a new post and he posted both of them later that day. Then administration messaged me back and bitched me out for double posting!!WTF  I was just trying to get 1 ad up.

He explained to me his schedule is busy ..(I don't know why he wanted to do this then) but I think he will be cool with a little more experience..

Hope everybody has a great Day:)

Lakeboy,

Can I get unmoderated?

I'm pretty quiet on boards most of the time. I've been a member and registered for awhile. Never posted derogatory or inflammatory messages. As the name handle implies, I'm usually a gentleman around here.

Usually when I do post, it's going to be in the evening and I'd like to avoid the 18 hr waits.

Thanks.
