I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to bring a thank you present when I meet a lady. Unfortunately, not many of you list the sort of gifts you like on your Web sites. Please consider adding a section, or just listing the sort of gifts you enjoy. It will help many of us express our thanks to you in a more appropriate manner.

Cash always rules, but I agree with your sentiment, sometimes it seems crass.

First meeting just being a polite gentleman with maybe some flowers to spruce up the room. Once you get to know each other I'm sure other things you'll find suites her tastes but is NEVER necessary. You sound like some of the far and few gents that really thinks of a lady.

I don't consider it crass at all.

showing your true appreciation by returning again.  I think for a lot of ladies, the idea of having a repeat date is more desirable than anything else.  and that lil chit chat you have with her is a great time to learn what she likes and what she doesnt.

And most ladies with a gift page say that.

Better than gifts or surprise anyway.  And if the lady and gent get along and the chemistry is right the finding someone you enjoy being with is the best gift.

It's by no means a silly wish list (though I would have chosen a different speaker). However, it would be even better if it was set up to allow someone to send you the gift directly. If you update the list profile to add a ship-to address, it will allow an item to be shipped directly to you. The gift giver will see only your name and city, never your mailing address (at least, according to the Amazon folks).

For those of us who would like to send small tokens of appreciation between meetings, such a list would be very, very helpful. I realize there may be a concern about displaying the city, but it looks like Amazon has addressed privacy concerns adequately. I believe the sender's Amazon email address will be shown to the gift recipient, but that shouldn't be a problem (and if it is, the gentlemen out there should be creative enough to come up with a solution that maintains their own privacy).

Do any of you ladies use your Amazon wish lists in this manner? Any caveats or horror stories to relate?

I wouldn't blame providers for not wanting their real address someplace it could be compromised or the thought of having any type of paper trail connecting them to clients.

I enjoy giving the gift to the provider in person. Gifts are awesome!

I think if you want to show your appreciation, it would be in 2 ways :

1. CASH
2. REPEAT VISITS

Of course, somewhat new to all of this, so others may have another thought.......

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it, but it doesn't come close to the gift you gave me of an evening I'll never forget. That is a gift I'll cherish always.
