I started by using a standard razor and some hair clippers to knock the shrubbery down.  That was about 35 years ago and the two blade razors were just starting to be marketed.  It did a decent job but that was about it.  IMO it took too long to acheive the results I wanted with that equipment.

I currently use the Norelco Bodygroom which I like much better.  Works wet or dry and has both necessary parts (razor and trimmer) on the same piece of equipment.  Its not cheap but then neither are the multi-bladed razors if you add up all the cartridges you will need.

I was wondering what the other hobbyist are using in this endeavor? I am changing the way I am doing it and was looking for options...

If you need a steady hand, let me know.  :)
