A provider responded to one of my posts by writing, in part. . .

". . . get some credibility. . .replying to EVERY post won't get you a great reputation very fast on here. . ."

All very fair comments.  It made me think - what am I looking for by being part of this board?  I don't think I'm looking for immediate "credibility" or a "great reputation" necessarily.

I'm looking to have some great hobby fun, like I have for the past five years (granted in a different city with a far less active hobby scene).

I just don't want everyone to get the wrong idea.  If "credibility" and "reputation" is what all of you think I need- I know I will earn that over time. . .

Anyway, just wanted to clarify and sorry I've gotten off to such a rocky start here with some of you. . .

Remember, I haven't been blessed with such a great forum like this where I'm from . . .

So far, I don't think I've really asked anyone for anything (except for some friendly advice), so I hope everyone gives me a fair chance to earn that credibility and reputation - to me those are terms that come through months and months and years of time.

This is a great hobby- let's keep it fun.

I've seen people bashed on the boards before and no one has come close to  anyting that would constitute a "rocky start" for you...I think you are taking what people say too seriously.

And I'll ask again...WHERE in the Carolinas are you?

Geez..Im sorry if my little advice turned into what some considered a "bashing" I just found it a little *red flag* for him to be so new and asking so many questions...and still has yet to answer where he is from. I agree with Steph on this one...ive seen what real "bashing' is on the other boards lol. I was only trying to make his "hobby time" on the boards more receiving...SORRY! Lol. I will keep my mouth shut...unless using it for more "productive" reasons hehe.
