Yes, I know I'm still beating the dead horse.  Maybe it we hit it hard enough and often enough we can get it to change position.

So I'm doing what I normally do and looking at new reviews and it finally registers what I am seeing.

Don't Know                                    Don't Know                                     Don't Know
Don't Know                                    Don't Know                                     Don't Know

Then I look further down the profile and see what I always dread.

LENGTH - 15 minutes
or
LENGTH - 30 minutes

I appreciate the fact that whoever is doing these visits takes time to fill out a review.   I really do.    I can appreciate the need for a "quick blow and go" or "stop and pop" as much as the next guy but it really pisses me off that the only real information I get from these reviews is that she is not law enforcement and either the BJ is covered or not.

As a guy that likes to schedule longer sessions, these are pretty much worthless to me.  I have no feel for what the provider is really like.  It's as if there are opportunities here for multiple TOFTT reviews. One for the LE check and the second to get the real information.

So what suggestions do we have to make the reviews more useful?  Just a few of mine.

1.  For reviews shorter than 1 hour have a "Quickie" section and leave the remainder blank - no more "Don't Knows"

2.  Compiling/Updating of services offered.  If more recent reviews have an entry in a service that was originally marked "Don't Know", update the profile.

3.  Allow the providers to "fill in the blanks" and modify their "Services Offered"  (I know I'm gonna take hits on that one but what the hell.)  If the lady changes her menu I would rather see the truth instead of being disappointed after I get there.  I think now they have a really hard time changing
their profile.

4.  Gotta add this one to go with the last.  Display the date that the "Services Offered" was last updated.  "Massage Quality" and "Full, No-Rush Session" to be client input only (sorry ladies)

5.  Here's a really radical one and I'm sure there are many negatives to this one that I will hear.  When a lady JOINS TER, let her fill out her provider profile page with her "General Information" and "Services Offered".  Again, some minor modifications to the information required. (services delivered as promised).  Doesn't become an active profile untill she gets her first review and can only be accessed by the one filling out her first review.  If she's really serious about providing, she will inform her client where she can be reviewed.

6.  Standard entry methods for those first reviewed off of BP or the other escort malls.

Roadshow2, I know your probably gonna have something to say.  You're like me and have a hard time "keepin' yo mouf shut".  Maybe a few others will join in also.

Ladies please jump in here too.  I know there are some of you who don't like the necessity for the details to be so "Juicy".

Okay, I'm gonna post it and see how stupid it looks in a day.  Flame retardant suit on...

I can support some of your proposals, but I don't think a post on the Carolinas' board is likely to get a productive response.  The suggestion & policy section of the general board may at least get the attention of the powers that be.

We are allowed to change and fix our services offered.

I fix mine all the time...we hit report a problem and normaly within 24 hours it's fixed.

I always keep up with reviews..so if someone hits dont know under bi...multi pops...I make sure guys know I DO do these things. Or if someone accidently hits greek..I fix that too!!

I think it's only fair..that way gents know exactly what they are looking for..get...and everyone is happy :)

I've also heard from some ladies that it's really hard for them to get their services changed to what is really offered.

Should it not be - they are your services,  you have total control?  Why just because one of us decides to put down that you swallow or allow greek do they automatically get changed?

All ladies have to do is hit "Report a problem" put in the report what you need changed..I have never had TER not change what I ask within 24 hours....

Where better than where more people might see it and get involved.  I know it's been posted on the suggestion and policy board.  How much support has it gotten there?  How many people even look at the suggestion and policy board?  I'll be honest.  I look there maybe once a month.

IF we can cause enough of a stir on ALL the local boards maybe someone will take notice.  IF we don't let it die, but keep bringing it up week after week, maybe someone will care.  Maybe the moderators will post that there is a groundswell of interest in revising the review policy

Forget about the General Discussion board.  It's a lost cause where everything gets hijacked or degenerates into mindless drivel.

On the local boards at least most people will stay on topic and not resort to name calling and flaming with aliases.

Let me take a few swings too, just to make sure...

Great suggestions. Add them in with all the other great suggestions we've made over the years that have YET to be put in place. I can't remember the last time TER made any improvements to the profiling system. Can anyone? Oh yeah, they updated the site, then upped the monthly charge. Awesome.

Keep the suit on because you're pissing into a headwind. Sorry, this is a really sore subject with me because there's so much more we could be getting out of it but they won't do anything because they don't have to as long as we keep using it.

Some of your suggestions are pretty good, others way too complicated, IMHO.

The staff at TER have alot on their plates with the sheer volume of reviews coming in.

As Addison pointed out, the ladies can have things changed on their profiles, I've had mine tweaked before.

I'm thinking alot the guys going for a quickie aren't partaking of all that may be offered and just fill in what they know from their experience.

I understand your frustration though.

xoxo,

Steph

Speaking as one of the guys who dont have alot of money.....quick visits are often the only way I can see a provider. I often use the "i dont know" button because I DONT KNOW. It mostly happens because I forgot to ask her if she performs a paticular service or I havent donated enough to find out. If I dont have an answer then I feel its safest to select this option. I find that most of the reviews guys write are subjective anyway. It all depends on how you click with the provider, the mood, ect. So when a guy writes a long story of what happend, I enjoy the story, but take it with a grain of salt. Ive had providers give me a BBBJ, only to find out that she does it for certain guys only. Vise-versa, after reading reviews that promised certain "things", and them meeting the provider, I find out she dosnt do that; or least not for me! lol. So while I understand your frustration as well; for me, its mostly about knowing the provider is legit and mostly sane.

I  agree with you pardner.  One thing that bothers me is when filling in a review, all fields must be filled in.  And NONE of them get updated. Just the verbage goes on through.  Twice now I have had to argue with TER because they never looked at the whole review.

I wonder if, we the customers of TER, would take a single point, that could be implemented with a software update, and agree in general, if that would get a bit more attention than throwing a grocery list at it.

the best way is to find one major issue instead of a laundry list of things.  TER is good at listening at our concerns and implementing what they can/want to.  But we have to remember that (as in life) we can't all things to all people.  One person's idea for change might be brilliant to them and rubbish to the next user.

Such a tiny fraction of providers participate on TER that I don't think it would be practical to expect them to fill out their own profiles. I do like your idea of showing the date a provider's profile was last updated.

I think the ultimate solution would be for every profile that gets filled out to be posted somewhere with each review. Maybe with a link you could click on if you choose. Under the current system, complete profiles are required with every review but never posted. Worst of all, it's never disclosed by TER--only in board posts. That's just nuts.

The Problem Report system works only for the few of us who know about it. Obviously, the prevalence of incomplete and outdated profiles demonstrate that it's a poor system. I think a big part of the problem is that it isn't made apparent, so most members don't even know it exists, let alone how it works. Like with a lot of improvements, TER's shortage of manpower--both to make the changes and to handle the increased input that would result--is seen as a disincentive to change.

I guess I'm not bothered by all the "don't know" non-answers, because I've learned not to rely on profiles, even the parts that are filled out. You have to READ THE ACTUAL REVIEWS, and not take it all at face value. None of this is idiot-proof and it never will be. Even with improvements it would just become a little easier to use.
