This post became necessary after reading what has been on the board since Friday.

I just returned from a relaxing week-end with no phone and no internet. Little Phil covered for me, as I told him I was leaving on Friday morning. It seems lots of “discussion” or “complaining” or “venting” has happened over the last two days.

Let me remind EVERY provider why Little Phil is helping me out. Many providers were upset at the turn around time between when a post is sent by them to our approval queue and when it eventually gets on the board. With me alone, it could have taken as long as 17 hours if one were to post after I finished for the night to sleep. I can’t check this site at work, so after working all day, it is about 05:00 PM the next day that I check again for posts to approve. And – hell no, I am not getting up earlier than I do the next morning to check the board before going to work!

With Little Phil in the picture, your approval time is unbelievably faster and for that, I’m sure you are grateful. For those of you that have sent PMs to me with distain for his attitude, I ask you, do you not think that is a small price to pay for fast response time?

I am guessing that a provider primarily uses this board to announce her schedule, provide a link, and hopefully send web traffic to her website. If I were a provider, and I was too busy to plan (like many seem to be), and I suddenly wanted to post at 10:00 PM making my announcement for the next day’s location, and I had someone volunteering that would get it posted that very night (rather than the next afternoon at 5:00 PM) – I could put up with about any crap he had to offer.

Regarding the “theme days” of posting a picture. I don’t have a problem with them, as long as you DO NOT also include contact information and links. If you include either of those, it is an ad and you get one every 7 days. I would ask that other providers STOP making comments about another provider’s theme picture as it is just something else we have to approve and it serves not value to the board. Example: Lady xyz posts a picture of her ass on “ass day” and then other providers have to tell her with another post, “what a pretty ass” – I wish you would just call her, or email her and not make yet another post about her ass. As a hobbyist, this is wasting my time and as a moderator, it is just extra stuff in the approval queue – that serves no meaning.

Regarding Little Phil, I personally am VERY grateful for his help. He seems to post stuff and banter with different ones of you. So, he is more visible than I am, and I am perfectly cool with that. With all I have going on, this is very much like a “job” (without pay) and I would prefer to stay behind the scenes doing approvals and keeping the “production machine” moving.

Hopefully, I won’t have to post again anytime soon, but please think hard (talking to providers here) – have you not noticed a MASSIVE improvement in turnaround time from when you post to when everyone sees your post?
