I'm not quitting because of the business, I'm quitting because it's grossing me out, is bad for me and bad for my voice.. can't sing like I used to. I smoked on and off throughout my teenage years, quit for 12 years, and started back up in January. It's been the biggest bitch to quit, but now that it's extremely gross to me now, I'm taking the opportunity to quit.
Does anybody know if non-smokers have a higher chance of attracting more clientele? I don't get complaints about smelling like smoke in appointments. Trying to be completely done before my 3 day trip coming up, but can't as I have a request to smoke cigars with him. That'll make it tough.
Haven't been on the boards four months. Didn't know my first question had been asked millions of times!! Sorryyyyy!
xoxo!

To "irk" means to annoy or irritate. Usually, I can figure out what someone meant to say but not in this case. Have you been "dying" to ask this?
Anyway, I like you, Courtney, but this one's been asked so many times over the years I'll sit this version out. I hope that doesn't irk you, lol!
.... will use it as an excuse not to kiss.
I have been with a few (2) ladies who made no attempt at cleaning their breath of that dirty ashtray smell.
Did we partake in one of my favorite interests Kissing...... No.
I prefer non smokers.

I smoke, but I try to make sure the place doesn't smell like smoke before the guys arrives & I always freshen my breathe.......I cudn't imagine my adventure starting without a big juicy one..........
I don't even like smelling smoke on others, and feel if I smell like smoke I probably look gross too.
I have a lot of listerine, gum, and even wash my lower face and re-apply make up before appointments. It's very inconvenient. Not worth it at all.
BUT. If I'm charging what I do, I sure as hell better not smell like smoke during an appointment. Has there been a whif of it on me before? I don't know, but no one has said anything. On my breath? I highly doubt it as I brush, wash my face, then rinse with listerine twice beforehand. Still, my profile says "Smokes, but not in session." Which I won't change until I'm done smoking for good.
I smoked for over 20 years before I quit a number of years ago and while I do my best not to be a pain about it because I disliked people who were, I find I truly can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke now.
At no point in the multi-hour time we last spent in each other's company did I notice you smelling of smoke.
Now, with the E cigs, I can go the entire day without a cigarette on appt. days. Hooray!
if you smoke you smell no matter how hard you try to be fresh,
it will no doubt help your business by quitting,
hit the gym hard adding cardio to your workout so you don't gain weight. most everyone who quits gains weight.
I always spend a minimum of two hours with each women and believe me when I say no amount of brushing or Listerine will keep your mouth fresh for anywhere near that amount of time.
Look at the money your going to save in quitting. In the course of a months time it could amount to a a paid hour appointment or more.
Good luck !
lol, $320 in the carolinas would be seven cartons... 70 packs/month. That's a lot of cigarettes... two packs / day. Makes sense, actually. But I'm at less than 1/2 pack right now/day.
And I have seen one person in the past several.
Eggcited! May skip ecig the way this is going.
Thanks for the luck.
I would love to save money and not have to worry about smelling like smoke. It's just one of those things you have to schedule during a time of low stress, and unfortunately that time will not come about for another month or so.
Since your profile says you smoke but nor during the session, you are probably only hearing from the guys that aren't bother if a lady MIGHT smell like stale smoke.
I think if you can quit again and have your profile changed to show you don't smoke, it will widen your client base. I know for a fact that there are guys that absolutely will not see a lady who smokes.
I'm pulling for you! You will feel much better, your food will taste better and it's just plain healthy not to smoke.

Steph

I get the "Blu" ones that are at most gas stations now. I still smoke regular cigarettes at the bar with friends, but always regret it the next day and go right back to hose now ![]()
I had two that were $100. The blu ones don't work for me. I need the strong stuff lol. People actually take that up as a hobby now (with no nicotine). YOu can get some real cute ones, or real cool ones. They're like dildos... all shapes and sizes!
I have purple and maroon. I will say, grape and chocolate are my two favorite flavors. There are 166 flavors at the store in Cary ATM. For $36 you can get three cartons worth in one bottle.
It tastes so good, going back to regular cigs is gross. It's weird. But if you get one of those bad boys, (girls,) don't smoke it in the hotel lobby or all the ladies who work there will be around you asking questions about it! hahaha. I've learned that lesson. It's like walking in with awesome shoes. You have to explain prices, where you got them, why you chose them, how they fit, and how long you can walk in them vs. dance, run, and skip lol. But it's nice to whip them out in bars, karaoke joints, wherever, without getting horrible stares and fake coughs from people. Just lots of positive attention, lol.
Thanks for the note!

Some folks do like watching others smoke. Sometimes if it is elegant and done correct it can be a great turn on. That would come with knowing the client. As for me, I enjoy watching a lady enjoy her cigarette.
