Hope you get the job, as far as apartments go if I were you I would stay at an extended stay type hotel for the first month or two so you can get a better feel of the area and nicer places to stay. You may end up even liking Greensboro or Winston for a place to call home which High Point is right in the middle of both. First of all - good luck with the job.

High Point has some strange boundary lines and can easily be confused as they run into Greensboro, Jamestown or Thomasville.

I moved to Greensboro 20 years from England and found it more to my liking in terms of restaurants and entertainment.
