Music. My first true love and has been a fixture of my life since as far back as I can remember.
I used to get up on Saturday mornings or come home after school and turn this on.

To this very day Saturday and Sundays are music mornings..

I am gonna get my groove on today for sake of the
SOUL TRAIN......

So sad, VHI behind the music just did a story on the impact of Soul train... which I watched last week and yes,, even in the boot for my ankle I can get down and get funky!

Jessica, I am with you. Though my musical passions growing up was primarily rock, I watched Don's show every week. The musical diversity that he displayed was second to none. Watching the dancers, especially the regulars, was so cool.
He will be missed.

I grew up in a lower middle-class neighborhood, and soul music had an impact on my life.
Loved to boogie with the girls in the neighborhood!
I became a hard rocker, but, long live funk!!
