Question/quandary

FYI, I've been in this "hobby" and I've been on TER for a few years... I've kept a low ..aka zero profile - I've never posted a review, and I've not been on his board before now....just my "style"

Here's my question for both the ladies and the guys: I had several meetings with a lady 2-3 years ago.  We got along great! We even went on 2-3 trips together.  I hadn't sent her since then since she's in AZ and I'm in NC and schedules...

I looked her up the other day, and, bluntly, she "died unexpectedly" per her obituary. (I knew her name etc.).

Her profile is still up on TER - what should I do?? - should I "tell" TER that she's no longer w/us? - outta respect??

Stace, as I called her - real name Stacey - had certain issues, as we all do...

F, what should I do

I would think that if you let TER know, they would remove her profile....

Even though we contributors aren't your " style " I'll respond to your inquiry.
But only out of respect for the lady.

You've already violated trust and protocol by mentioning a real first name and area . Plus you felt a need to mention she had " issues".  Don't do that. Very bad form , or should I say style.

I'd suggest you contact TER admin and notify them the lady is deceased . Her profile ID should be sufficient . No need to give them personal info.  Then it's in their hands.

Good chance active participants of the TER community where she was based will also notify TER. Generally a ladies colleague in the ancient and honorable profession will take the lead in these  unfortunate situations .

To whoever she was...RI

She's not from NC - she's a long way from NC. I said she's in AZ but she's not.  I'm SURE no one in NC knows her or of her.

I didn't say contributors aren't my "style" - I said that it's not my "style" to ne a contributor.

I last saw her 3 years ago.  One month later she had a review posted.  One month later she died

Her profile is still up on TER - and it's not "Stacey" on TER.

Assuming that she knows other providers it's interesting to me that none of them have reported her death to TER Admin

I'm also on another Hobby website (a review one, or else I would say, ya know against the rules and all...) however, it's funny that as a community they are very overly asinine about anyone saying any Real World info on other members- they call it "outing" and the ones who do it  get called #PottyMouthWhores and they typically receive a 1 year ban from the forum for doing so (now this goes for hobbiests/clients/providers alike! Not limited to either sex.)

The proper protocol is to NEVER EVER EVER is to never mention that type of thing on any public forum post, and also not allowed in the ladies room, the mens room, etc etc (private areas.) that could be outing.
After all, the internet is forever!
;)
You never know who knew her, especially if you seen her HERE.
I'm just sayin'....
If she went by a working name, that is ALL you should reveal...
This is just stuff I've picked up by being in multiple hobby circles and is perhaps a very good practice.
I'm not trying to be a kill-joy, and I am extremely sorry to hear of anyone reaching a premature end, especially another working gal. I'm truly sorry.

I hope your XMas is looking brighter (to all you readers!)

I believe that it's best/anonymous to use her 1st name vs. her working name.  If I used her working name then everyone on TER can find her as her profile is still up after 3 years of her passing.

She's 2-3,000 miles from NC, where I am.  I can't remotely imagine that any of the what, 100 people reading this Discussion Board saw or knew of her 3 or more years ago.  If someone here actually knew/saw her AND they know her 1st name, then, "no-harm - no-foul" since I'm telling 'em something they already knew 2-3 years ago.

I haven't exposed anything to anyone.   Try googling Stacey priovider and death you won't find her name or working name.

Again, I hadn't looked her up in the past 3 years, until last week and it's surprising to me her profile is still up - her friends, other gents haven't (apparently) contacted TER

I'll report back here after I contact TER Admin.  Whether they remove her profile or not, I won't use her full name or her working name

I know you feel that she and her life threads are very far away from you, but YOU never know how it all connects.  I have a few pics out there that are deep in the internet but there forever posted not by me but there forever.  YOU don't know her as well as you may tink you do...we are mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, daughters, etc and choose to keep our hibby lives private most of the time.  So outing her and/or offerring info that may connect a dot, tie a thread of thought could be potentially damaging to those she chose to protect from the knowledge of her her hobby.  I love what I do, but I have zero interest in my family or vanilla friends sharing this part of my life.  So please my cyber hobby buddies, if I die, please do not post my personal info related to my vanilla me online after I pass/or in general for my kids (biggest fear) to read.  I would never want them to feel as if they did not know me...this part of me is mine and not the defining part of me.

You're all still not getting it...

If I say that "Mary - not her real name and not her profile name - died 3 years ago in Timbuktu - not her real city" how does anyone possibly guess who I'm talking about

Stacey's not her real name

In addition, if "Fred" from Timbuktu was also seeing a provider whose real name was Stacey and she disappeared suddenly in the past couple of years, he may read the boards here, stumble across your disrespectful post, and conclude (correctly or not) that his Stacey must be the same one that you have posted publicly about having issues which caused her death.

I'm beginning to think that you're really just a humiliation fetish troll who is looking for verbal reprimand as a result of your complete ignorance.  It doesn't matter who knows, you betrayed Stacey's trust that you would not use her name with anyone other than her and here you are blabbing it to complete strangers who do not have any reason to know any of her personal business.
