Our old buddy Funtimes passed away on July 4th after a long, courageous battle with cancer. I know he had good friends on this board who would want to know. It is known that he didn't want anyone grieving his passing, so maybe a spirited pic thread by the ladies, in his honor. He'd have liked that.

He was the best Moderator that the Carolinas ever had. He will be missed.

I was the newbie moderator and he took me under his wing. I learned to respect him not only as the best moderator ter had  but as a true gentleman and close friend.  The friendship grew over the last couple years. We talked regularly about the hobby, business and life in general. We traded messages late Monday and again on Tuesday afternoon. Even then he had an incredible sense of humor.  We joked and teased each other but we both knew it was the end as he wanted it and as he orchestrated it. I told him I hoped I could have his courage and strength.
Rest in peace my friend.

As in unmoderated.  He had a fair and steady guiding hand.

He was moderator when I left last time. I am sad to hear he has passed away, but glad to know he was able to go on his terms.  Life is so short. I hope he danced well into the night.
