I have the Beatles, ol blue eyes,  3 dog night. Shania, Weird Al,  Tommy James,  Gladys Knight, the Beach boys. The Platters, Elvis, Grand Funk, Santana,  and  the Delphonics,  and the list goes on.  The crazy part is I turn it on using the Random function when riding.  You wont beleive the transitions that happen and make me laugh.

I figured I'd try to start a thread about a different subject.  What's your favorite kind of music?

I'm a country boy at heart but you'll find various different kinds of music on my IPod.  I've got music from Rob Zombie, Buckcherry to Nickleback and Adelle.  Guess it all depends on what kind of mood I'm in.  .

Some Pistol Annies (lol I for the most part still hate country music), some dance music (Skrillex, Robyn, David Guetta etc), Kenny G (I said it) lol...

Some of my fave and usual suspects  r&b/rap from 90's and further on (brandy, swv, monica, big pun, lil' wayne, lupe fiasco, rihanna, beyonce' etc), reggae, reggaeton and more .... it's really all over the place.

These artists all have at least 15 songs on my iPod (alphabetical order):

Bare Naked Ladies
Beatles
Billy Joel
Boston
Bruce Springsteen
Chicago
Eagles
Grateful Dead
Indigo Girls
James Taylor
Jimmy Buffett
Mary Chapin Carpenter
Melissa Etheridge
Queen
REM
Rush
Simon and Garfunkel
Styx

Quantified and alphabetized.  I'll bet you would have neem a great social scientist if there were any sex involved!

In fact, I did everything but finish my thesis for my masters.

Sad, but true.

I actually applied for, and was accepted into, a PhD program in 2009.  It is the reason I moved from Raleigh to Charlotte.  The only problem was with the funding, which fell through because the state's budget was slashed.  So I didn't go.  I may still.

Political Science?  Pls run for PRES and, when you win,  declare that all Escorts are Earth Angels and therefore exempt from all laws made by Man that would restrict them from showering us guys/girls with love and affection;P~~~

I was thinking about the rapid spread / legalization of gambling (including the state sponsored gambling - the lotteries) over the past 2 decades.  I think a major factor is that one very popular form of gambling is actually church sponsored - Bingo.

Then I was also thinking about the even more rapid social acceptance of gays and gay rights over the same time period.  A major influence there, I believe, is popularity of gay TV characters (especially on Will and Grace) that seemed to suddenly pop right after as Ellen came out and her first show was forced off the air.

So I think the hobby needs a new religious movement focused on Mary Magdalene, along with a (actually funny) sitcom about hobbyist and/or provider.
