who wrote the reviews, not just how many. I'm comfortable with 5 or 6 if the reviewers have a track record of reviews and/or a significant board presence. On the other hand, I've seen a page (or more) of reviews where every reviewer only had 1 or 2 reviews and that didn't do it for me.

OTOH, I also don't hobby much and generally stick with the same few providers, so my review history wouldn't get much longer anyhow. Since I'm unlikely to change, and as a result of that, people here will continue to question my posts; I'll just keep my opinions to myself.
One is all it takes if it's from a realiable reviewer. I can tell you it's hard to find a carolinas provider that CRTicas or Pac_Man have not reviewed. For me, If the provider has just one review but it's from one of those two, then I feel comfortable contacting the provider. Others it takes 5 or more.
