or overreacting or whatever you want, but Im not going to the fair with Ebola running around.  You can flame me all you want.  Too many animals and people and germs already at the fair.  Ive been dozens of times, but with possible Ebola floating around, not a chance, sorry.  Its a breeding ground for illness as it is no reason for me to chance catching it for the zipper ride.  No sir.  :-)

Im sorry I disagree.  You cannot catch HIV from an HIV infected person sneezing on you.  Thats not true for Ebola.  People wearing full hazmat suits contracted ebola, also not true for HIV.  So you can be laid back about it if you want.  I will not take that chance with my life.  I dont understand how people refuse to see it.  It started in Texas now its in Ohio, DC, on a cruise ship etc.  I wasnt worried about it at first either.  I am a bit now.  Its spreading.  Slowly, yes but surely.

Funny, I just got my routine STD test and I think they screen for 10 things now via blood and urine, but Ebola wasn't on the list. Bummer.

I can say for certain one provider told me she was at the Doctors office that day and could see me after that.  And I said "no thanks"  If I go see a provider and she shows symptoms of a cold, I walk.  So in a sense my hobbying is, and should be affected, as I believe yours should be.  No hour+ date is worth chancing my life.  Is yours?

Also the link you provided fails to mention that Ebola can be airborne through water molecules that move through the air.  Such as a sneeze or cough etc.  Im not captain paranoid nor am I holed up in my house with blackout windows, but I can say that I'll choose to avoid a place where Ebola could run rampant.  And by all means if you feel safe, go have fun, Im not judging just saying my choice is to not go this year.  :-).  That would be an odd question wouldnt it.  "Julia have you had your shots?"  LOL!!!

BTW off topic, didnt some people get some weird virus last year at the fair

Wow! If she said she was at her Dr.'s office for something "catchy". Sure, but do you really think a provider is going to tell you that she's going to see you as soon as she's done at the Dr.'s getting her RX for valtrex ... for "shingles". Dude you are in the wrong hobby and probably got put on several DNS lists for attitude alone.

Not really.  I saw her several days later and apologized to her in person.  She actually understood and said she is also a bit more touchy about clients than normal.  Smart girl.  In the wrong hobby?  Seriously?  Because I care for my well being?  What kinda hobbyist takes un-necessary risks?  Dumb ones.  As Ive said before, you can be laid back about it if you want, idc, do whatever you like.  Im not judging you, but my choices are mine to make.
Everyone throws around the dreaded DNS list, ooohh no!  Please.  You can convey things to people without being a D-bag and 90% of the time they're fine with it.  She was.  And we had a great date after the fact.  No harm no foul.  If I was going around telling ladies they're dirty filthy ebola carrying meat suits then yea I'd expect to get blacklisted.  Thats being a D!ck.

Also we've all heard that providers, and hobbyists alike will still go on dates while sick, or even knowingly diseased so yea Its possible some piece of crap might do exactly that.  Knowingly have something and setup a date anyway.  Is it really a hard stretch to think that sometimes.  I think not.

You do know there is a big difference between DNS (do not see) lists and Blacklisting don't you? They are not the same thing and have very different consequences.

We all take risks in the hobby. It is an inherent part of it, however, it is up to each individual (guys and girls) to decide how much risk to take. I determine the amount of risk that is acceptable to me by educating myself through credible sources. "The sky is falling" posts on TER is not one of those credible sources.

I agree with everything you just said.  And thats my point, its my choice to decide my risks, and if I dont want to take it, then thats on me.  So what are we arguing about?  lol  :-D  I definitely dont count TER as a credible source for research, thats a definite fact, but it is a place for us to let loose a little and say "hey Ebola worries me" and say so.

Yes I know the difference was just typing along and didnt catch it.  Was thinking do not see "list" and it just got muddled in my brain.

I'm an agreeable person (mostly) I try not to post information that is incorrect. Nothing wrong with debate and the exchange of ideas. That is how we learn. Unless, the debate takes on the characteristics of the GD board, which is juvenile at best. We all get muddled. Happens at times. However, "blacklisting" is serious and should be reserved for the truly "dangerous" clients. We all have DNS lists, but they are not posted. Clients "back channel" each other about bad providers (and good) all the time and I'm guessing that providers email each other as well. The PO board is great, but not all providers magically have access to that board. Many people assume that all providers automatically have access to the PO board. They don't. So, blacklisting is a term that I see thrown around all the time on the board when it shouldn't be. The PO Board is another one of those misused terms IMO. Ebola bothers you, and the "terms" usage bothers me. Welcome to the world.

And some things should never see a deep fryer from the outside or the inside. I think it's pretty fucking stupid what some of those idjits are selling. I won't say what, though, because there might be some people on here that actually eat them. hehehe

So now you're an MD? Since when? Oh but we should believe the cdc? Ok. Btw did they ever find all that anthrax they 'misplaced?' Just curious?

Any minor scratch or cut can become infected with HIV.  But here is the CDC's info on Ebola transmission...

So I'm curious if you plan to stop seeing ladies until they have a vaccination for Ebola?
