Here I sit, about to be divorced, going through all the drama and b.s. that entails, and now, of all times, it's a practical impossibility to take the plunge from lurker to newbie hobbyist.  Plus I'm paranoid.

Story of my life. Hope you guys are having a better month than I am.

Sorry to hear about your personal dilemma, but thank goodness I found this hobby before being led to the male slaughtering house of marriage.

No pun intended (about being hard) :-)
I mean it ain't that hard to get you a "Internet free" email, one of those WallyWorld phones, make a date and enjoy the company of one of the most beautiful and awesome women in the world. Trust me there are plenty on this board that fit that bill.  
Returning home with one of those big ass grins on my face probably save a marriage!

You will be looking back over your shoulder and no enjoyment. You will have to get rid of the Paranoia part before plunging.

Once learn how to play safe, paranoia seems to disappear. I would suggest a Newbie Friendly provider.  

Another issue is references, you will have to have references to play
