Call me old fashion, but I don't believe in asking for reviews. To me, a review made under pressure just isn't the same as one that came from a reviewer that felt moved to write about his experience.

Ok...here is my issue. Twice now, I have had cients ask me to "Whitelist" them. Shouldn't it be up to me to decide if they belong on the Whitelist or not? It's like going up to a professor and asking her to give me an A.

I dont think anyone has ask me to review them.  I may have had some ask me not to write a review and as long as I was happy I didnt.    Whitelist is confusing to me.  Isnt it more like asking for a reccomendation?  ummmm.  Maybe more of a personal reference.  If I saw a lady several times I might ask.  Wait I did ask and she gave me one.  But she didnt have to.  And I just didnt expect it.

Am I thinking about white lists correctly?  And I cant spell either/ specially receive or recieve Ill just say got.

"I do have a favor to ask.  I would appreciate it if you would give me a White List referral (I hope I'm using the right terminology) on TER.  My handle is "xxxxxx".  Thanks."

O, I never felt that asking a teacher for an "A", with a smile of course, was a no no:)) Course, I never pressed it and ALWAYS left it up to that teach to  give whatever they felt my work deserved. No hard feelings on my part when I didn't get it.

Later in life, with tables turned, I was requested to do the same any number of times. We both smiled:))

In the Hobby, I have always asked the lady if SHE wanted a review, as they do help some guys make up their minds about seeing same. Also, I don't think that a lot of the ladies even know that they can White List a guy(Give him an "A"). I think White Listing is just saying that he is O.K. to see---not serial killer, violent, crazy, etc., and not really superman in the bedroom:))  Am I off base with this thinking? Sometimes we guys just  need to know that we are o.k. to have the pleasure of you ladies company;P

You started out your post kinda in a way Marie that would make one think being old fashion is in some way less than new or modern or hip or cool or WHATEVER!!!!! For me not always the case.

What I am trying to say is if you are old fashioned as you say GREAT!

When I first read your post my initial thought was, "WOW asking for such, is such poor taste, ooooowwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh".

Then I thought, "me, what about the FACT that the people in this world who ask for stuff usually get more stuff than those who do not ask for anything"? Where oh where is the love for the bold amongst us??????  hehe

So as usual I am somewhere in the middle not willing to commit to anything either way!!!!!!!!  LOL

I guess when it comes right down to it, some can, some can't, some shouldn't.

I know that really does not make any sense here I just love writing that!

When it gets right down to it, would you have whitelisted those fellas if they had not asked ya? Now that they did ask and you thought it over do you feel they deserve a recommendation from you? How would you feel if you knew a gal decided to set an appointment with those guys based on you inferring it was ok?

Think it is also worth mentioning from the hobbyists point of view I have had a lady or two make sure to ask that I write them a review. Them asking did not really matter either way, if I was gonna do it, I was gonna do it. I have not been persuaded by a request.

Not sure if any of that really helps you Marie. Besides being a beautiful woman you are a very sharp gal so I am sure you will get this figured out for yourself.

Having said that....drumroll.......I concur with myself........AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I think you summed it up when you said "I Really Don't Know Him Well Enough".  Its your decision.

Personally, I can't fault him.  I don't think everyone knows that the White List exists.  Obviously, he thought your meeting went well enough that he was comfortable asking.

So it's considered acceptable to ask for a review or a white listing.

I don't agree, but it is what it is

Just for the record, I have NEVER asked for a review....or even hinted that a write up would be nice. I don't know. To me it just feels like cheating.

Thank you Sphinx

i totally agree with you agree as well as i think it is rude for the lady to ask the client for a review. if you both had a great time then i would think that both parties would want to advertise that unless either party requests that a review not be written (always be respectful of each others wishes within reason).

BTW  i did not even know there is a white list, can anyone tell me if i am on it?

i also love old fashioned women except in the bedroom LOL!! hope to meet you someday marie you sound like a very sexy and fun woman!!

I mean after all. Providers have lives besides the business. Life does sometimes get so busy. That even if a provider would normally make a white listing. Because she has seen the client. He was a perfect gentleman.  I do concur that the person being white listed should at least seen the provider more then once.

I myself have had to ask a few times. Because, I like them are quite busy. Thus, I am a bit more of Hobbyist then I would be normally. I just don't have the time to form or maintain a proper relationship.  As it stands now for me personally. I have about four reviews to write.  One of which is gonna be hard for me. Because the woman was. . . well exceptional to say the least.  Not just in the physical sense. But, the over all experience.

Sometimes, you have to ask in order to get white listed. If its a provider that tours infrequently or simply doesn't come around often. You have to take the bull by the horns.  However, I also understand Squirrels thoughts on this too. If you have to ask for a review. Perhaps, it won't be sincere . . . Its a duel edge sword to a certain degree.

I hate it..

Reviews are a necessary evil..
I don't ask for them and if they do volunteer I do accept..

Same for white List..
I like the DC way of doing things where I can see if a provider has options of reccomendations..

but usually when I am giving a reference I will state to the new provider..some thing in the way of

he is wonderful.. Please treat him well Etc, etc... I would much rather speak with a provider for a reference then read it on a public board...

Anyone can be on their best behavior the first few visits. The question is....after they get comfortable are they still wonderful visitors they were in the beginning or do they start oversteping boundaries (or trying to). If they are consistant year after year. Yes, I would White List them

Another thing.....I can always find time for the things that I feel are important. If I'm too busy to do something, that something wasn't all that important to me

I don't think asking for a review is the same as asking for a White List.  Maybe TER should define it.  I thought a White List was just a way for the provider to say 'Yes I saw him and if you asked for a referral I would give it to him'.  Like an OK on P411.  It also says the review was not fake.  I don't think giving him a White List is like giving him a 10, 10.

Most of my clients don't start showing their true colors until I've seen them a few times. I'm not WhiteListing anyone unless I am 100% sure they are quality people. So if you all see I have WhiteListed someone, you better belive they are the cat's meow and them some ;)
