So it looks like there maybe enough interest in the community to host a M&G in the Charlotte area.
So here are a few questions I have for the guys and girls.

1. Date-  I am thinking a Saturday night, 11/21/09. How does that date look? Back up date the first Saturday in December.

2. As this will be a first M&G in awhile for this area I thought it best to get a meeting room at a hotel and have it there. Strip clubs are too wide open and the people entering can't be stopped from "mixing" with our group which lends itself to potential problems.

3. I will need a co-host, Gabby was kind enough to volunteer. Is there a second volunteer?

4. Screening will be a must and will ensure that we are all having a safe and funtime together. So everyone will have to be screened, I'm happy to do that. Ladies, will have to have a website and some reviews posted. Gentlemen, will need to provide their name, "handle" and phone number. If they do not have published reviews they will need two vouches from trusted and well known ladies. This is just for our safety guys.

I'm really excited about putting this together and looking forward to meeting you all in Charlotte. Please respond to this thread with your thoughts and ideas so that everyone can see what's transpiring.

Charlotte is a great city for this kind of event and hopefully it will draw ladies and gentlemen from the Triangle, Triad, Western NC and Northern SC...maybe even Columbia

I'm not sure that a Saturday is the best evening for this as alot of guys have to be "home" on the weekends! Of course there's always the excuse of being out with the guys watching SPORTS on the weekends, lol!

I've attended four M&Gs and all of them were either on a Wed or Thurs.

A hotel meeting room like "anyone" would rent for a party is a great idea and I've attended two M&Gs that were successfully held at such a location. Another place that will work is to reserve a "party room" at a club or restaurant that caters to parties. That would keep things private if we have our own room!

Three Cheers for Gabby as a co-host! She seems to know the Charlotte social scene pretty well...and I already know she has great taste, lol!

C'mon folks, it was said a few months ago that the Carolinas suck as a place for M&Gs, so let's prove them WRONG!

I am thrilled that a M and G is in the planning process BUT it is very difficult for alot of guys to tell their SO that they are going out on a Saturday night without them. The M and G's around the country are on a weeknight as it is very easy to say that we have a late meeting, a business dinner, going to watch a game on a Thursday with the guys, flying in late from a trip, etc. And finding a place with a " backroom area" is the best spot. I bet this would be a well attended event if held on a week night vs a weekend.

How about a WED or Thurs. Many college FB teams play on those dates. I personally will come whenever.

Am interested but a Wed. or Thurs. wouldn't work for me as I live in Winston Salem and a Drive from Mt. Airy(where I work to Charlotte) would be a Long Drive for a short time.  

Would be better for a Friday or Saturday as would be easier to drive and spend more time with everyone.  This being the Week before Thanksgiving would be interesting to see also.
Current status is Basic membership but do have a Handle as can be seen by posting.

Another possibility that I haven't seen proposed, is it possible for both a weeknight one for those who can make it then and possibly one that same Week for the Weekend for those that could make it then too.  I know also depends on which ladies might still be around then or those who couldn't make it on the Weeknight but on the Weekend instead?  Just a suggestion since seems there is interest but depends on Travel and the Time since this is so near a Holiday Week.
