TER does not have a category for reliability, but they should. After prebooking with Lindsey and confirming the booking one week in advance, she cancels within a day of me catching a flight (after I inquire about contact information because I'm arriving from out of town). The reason for her late cancellation? She double books (with someone out of town, across the country) and doesn't have the courtesy to notify me.
She may be a nice person and she may have good reviews, but she is lacking in booking etiquette. Providers don't like guys multi-booking and backing out at the last minute. Such respect should be a two-way street.
So if you are booking with Lindsey, don't count on it unless you see the white of her eyes.
I know her well, and don't think she should be slammed for letting you know BEFORE you actually arrive. She is not only nice, but in my experience highly reliable; and I should know, because I have had to cancel her with short notice before myself.
Let's be clear. I reconfirmed (for the second time) and only after I reconfirmed did she email me back telling me that she had to cancel. It's not as if she didn't know in advance about her out of town trip. If she decides to cancel for whatever reason, fine. But she failed to look at her schedule and only when I called it to her attention that the trip was coming up did she bother to tell me. The conflict was probably on the books for some time and trying to book at the last minute (with screening and such) isn't easy. Not cool.
