First off, I am not calling BS (yet anyway) to Coach's post about a bust @ The Hilton on Senate St. in Downtown Columbia. I hate to doubt someone's story, but I have certainly seen worse on here. However, I know Columbia inside out. I eat at Ruth's Chris, which is the only restaurant in that hotel, very often. I, like Coach, have several of my clients who stay at that hotel. To say I am familiar with The Hilton would be an understatement.

Several thing don't add up:
1. He said after breakfast he went to the parking lot of The Hilton on Senate St. & sat in the parking lot to get free WiFi. There is no parking lot. They either valet your car or you self-park is in the garage. There is construction going on next to the hotel .... the new Carolina Alumni Center .... so he couldn't have gotten free Wi-Fi from there.

2. If he happened to make a mistake & he was actually in the garage .......... well THAT IS B.S. because you can't see the front of the hotel from the garage AT ALL. If he watched all this go down right in front of him, he would have had to be sitting in a VERY SMALL VALET area. It may hold 10 cars. Well shit, 3 of those 10 were Chargers !!! No way that happened !!!

3. He could have been sitting across the street in 5 Guys parking lot, BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT HE SAID. & he was emphatic about the facts.  

4. I had a two hour lunch at Ruth's Chris on the 24th. Got there at 12:15 & left at 2:20. I used valet. Ruth's Chris is at the front of the restaurant. I saw NOTHING. I heard NOTHING. Call me Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Heroes ...... but again, I saw NOTHING. I heard NOTHING. This is important because I had to go to valet about 45 minutes to an hour into lunch to get a proposal that I had left. They had to pull up my vehicle which took 10 minutes. Again nothing. If something like that had happened, there would still be a buzz in the air around the hotel and restaurant.

5. There was nothing in today's paper or on the any of the major news channels. There is still nothing on any of their websites. Let me tell you ........ if this happened it would be ALL OVER THE NEWS. Hell, it would be the lead story !!!! This is Bible Belt USA.

6. I have several friends who are in LE. I called them and told them my client saw something funny at the hotel and I was curious. None of them heard or knew anything. Again, this may not be news in Manhattan, but in Columbia ..... this would be a HUGE DEAL.

7. The Hilton is not typically the hotel of choice in Hobbywood ---- because of its popularity. You can't "hide" there and be indiscreet.  

8. Why won't Coach just tell us who the f%~k it is ...... IF IT'S TRUE !!

With all that said, I will be the first to apologize if what Coach said is true and there are areas of his story  missed. However, I thought it was important enough to the Carolina Board to take the time to spell out the discrepancies.

If some of you want to verify what I am saying is true ...... just use Google Earth and have a tour. The parking lot shit is just killing me !!!

There is no news on this on WIS, WLTX or WOLO. It's not in The State. That news would make headlines quicker than you can imagine.

My friends in LE are state & local. Feds don't usually use Chargers ..... around here anyway.

As I said ........ I will be the first to apologize if I'm wrong. However, I was THERE the day in question ....... @ the restaurant anyway. I find it hard to believe that regular customers would not have heard something about it.

I am checking this out thoroughly. If it's true ......... that may alarm me even more because of how quiet it has been kept.
