I love Chicken Bog. I ask my friends if they have ever tried it and many say they have never heard of it. I'm getting ready to make some today and I decided to do some research. I have a family recipe but I wondered where did this wonderful dish originate? South Carolina...the Lowcountry!! Which is as it should be. Who else on here loves it? Do you make your own? Is it a tradition? I'm including a link to a recipe for Chicken Bog! This will be my second time making it...but it will never be as good as Grandma's!
Ran into this dish just inside NC down by Lumberton (Fairbluff) a number of years ago) Guess ducks and chickens are 6 or 1/2 dozen of the other in terms of Bogs) Ducks might be a lil more tangy. Get a big old black kettle, a bunch of folks, and go at it with either)
