I'm thinking about making a trip down to the Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh area and I was wondering where the best places to stay would be in each of these areas
Just one guy's opinion: North side of Charlotte, East side of G'boro (near interstate), and near the RDU airport for Raleigh. You would have plenty of hotels to choose from, and getting around from those general areas would be less of a hassle. You'd also be locating yourself in areas conducive to the clients' ease. Hope you can make it down here...
While you are in North Carolina, some of us in Myrtle Beach, SC would love it, if you would consider venturing south to the beautiful Grand Strand area. There are plenty of locals and tourists that would make it worth your time.
As far as Greensboro goes, there's no shortage of hotels and they're always building more of them, it seems. The best area in Greensboro would be hotels located near the intersection of Wendover and Interstate 40. There's hotels near the airport, but that's not centrally located, and I DO NOT recommend staying at hotels near the colisuem/mall area. That's a, uh, not so good side of town, and therefore Ellie is more likely to be over there. The area of Wendover & I40 is a better side of town, more centrally located, and there's everything you can think of very close to there. There's a couple of recommendations I have, so you're welcomed to email me and ask for those if you'd like.
Le has a well known reputation in the County that hosts Charlotte
Greensboro, I agree..stay just off the interstate
For RDU..I wouldn't stay near the airport. There have been busts there....It doesn't matter that they were Cl..I believe once there is an interest..these hotels will always remain a place of interest. I would def screen screen screen...
There are plenty of hotels in the RTP area... If you pm me I would be happy to give you more info. I myself..prefer the road less taken.
xoxo Sexy Carolina I would also add...Asheville and Greenville...Both are two of my favs.
near High Point - that puts you convenient to I-40 and also relatively close to airport. You should avoid eastern portion of greensboro; there are some not so nice sections you might end up in if you don't know your way around town
crabtree area in Raleigh is better than the Airport hotels. There have been LE stings in the past out by the airport, But I have never heard of any activity in the crabtree area. Let me know when you are coming so I can be first on the list.
Charlotte is a great place; however it has had stings in the past. Several providers prefer Concord b/c it's in a different county, has lots of hotel options and close to great shopping, but its a farther hike for hobbyists.
If you're smart in how you post, you should be fine in Charlotte. Uptown is centally located, but more expensive. Tyvola and i-77 is also a great location at a reasonable price.
Some providers book Rockhill in SC. Try off of Carowinds Blvd (just on the NC/SC border) or Exit 79 Rock Hill, which is by a mall.
