You're thinking of Pure Gold in Cary.  I have been there (although more than 6 months ago) and definitely prefer CC.  Pure Gold is a nude club and CC is topless, but that matters less than you'd think.  Since strip clubs are just a tease anyway, I'm fine with topless.  Plus, if you do a private dance, the dancer has to have her panties on or else she can't touch you.  The big disadvantage is that because it's nude, Pure Gold can't sell any alcohol.  You can bring your own, and there's a convenient convenience store right in front of the club that sells beer, but they charge you to bring it in.  It's $1.50 per bottle, so it's $9 per 6-pack on top of what you've already paid for the beer!  
   
 Pure Gold is only open at night, and I really like the daytime option at CC.  They serve lunch there too, and the food isn't bad.  So I can easily break away from work for my lunch break, go to CC, and go back to work all within my normal routine.  The crowd is usually pretty light during the day, but there are always 10-15 dancers, so sometimes the dancers outnumber the customers; that's a pretty nice situation!  Because of the favorable ratio, every time I go, I end up sitting and having a nice conversation with a hot dancer or two the entire time I'm there.  It's like a mini-date, and it usually ends with a nice private dance.  And by the way, unlike Pure Gold, at CC you can touch the dancers in private.
