And how about the folks who do not feel unconditional positive towards Tyler Hansbrough? Psycho T is still playing AND how many casual observers were aware he is the first National Player of the Year to come back and play another years since........Shack Daddy! So to all who do not deeply appreciate Pyscho T  BOOOOOO!

And to all who still think the Heels might be overrated!  BOOOOOO! Tied for the most Final Four appearances ever. Most importantly this year with all the pressure of being annointed as "can't miss" this year!

All I got to say is Ole Roy and the Boys are in the Championship Game of the Big Dance!  YEEEAAAA!

So UNC made the finals. Big whoop. One team does not define how good a conference is. (Although personally, I think the ACC is second only to Big East this year, the other ACC teams did fall flat in the tourney. So the success of UNC does not mask the failure of Clemson, Wake, et al.) But really, who cares about conferences one way or the other?

As to "Ole Roy", he's a worm. He was a pissant back at KU, and got the AD fired (who is supposed to be the coach's BOSS) and then bolted for UNC anyway when Dean Smith told him to. At least he finally traded in his grandma glasses.

Great game, they led the entire time! They will have to shoot better from the free throw line on Monday to win the BIG ONE! Kudos to UNC and coach Roy.

No matter who ends up on top now no one can say they were overrated unless they are just a spoiled sport.

And the ACC was represented well with 2 teams in the Sweet 16 this yesr. I wish Duke had made it to the Elite 8, but hey, they just didn't play well that night.

I hated to see UConn lose tonight as I really thought they would be in the finals.

UNC And Michigan State in the finals...it is what it is, and I hope it's a great game!

The National Champion is only gonna come from one of two conferences. Simple mountain logic to me says the conference who ends up with the national championship had the best year!

Just win baby!

You know Tiger pretty much defines his golfing year, measures them, decides if they were good years or not by one thing! Majors! WINNING THEM! And not just playing well and consoling himself by playing well and not winning! Just WINS baby!

So the conference that WINS, to me and my mountain logic is the place where the winner comes from Monday night!

All the others are just gonna be saying, "Maybe next year"! "Maybe next year we can win it all"!

No UNC winning does not mask the failure of all the others, there is only ONE winner of the Big Dance! The conference who sends the eventual champ to me is the mcdaddy conference! All the others didn't geterdone!

Seen in this way the Big beast had the biggest let down! Most OVERRATED! They had 2 teams in the Final Four and not one in the Championship game! Now THAT is a FAILURE of EPIC PROPORTIONS! OUCHIE!

As far as Ole Roy goes! From what I gathered the AD at Kansas was a terd! He was the pissant who did not treat OLE ROY very kindly and THAT was one of the main reason's Roy came home. Kansas agreed APPARENTLY and fired the TERD after he ran OLE ROY off!

Plus Roy is a homer. Grew up in Asheville, worked for Dean, ended up not in Kansas anymore, did them proud, eventually came home where he knew he belonged! There is no place like home, right?

Ok there are only 4 coaches in the great Guitar Hero commercial! Ole Roy, Coach K, Pitino, and Bobby Knight! Got to tell you, that is one STRONG group of x'er's and o'er's! Only group of stronger o'er's I ever seen are the gals I have written reviews for here on TER! And to the exceptional oer's I have yet to meet, enjoy and write reviews of,  I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!

My point is Ole Roy is a great coach. Look at the resume! Possibly Monday he is gonna be in a very select group of coaches with 2 National Championships! Plus, they do not pick pissants to be in Guitar Hero commercials, they just don't! Anyone anyone, Bueller?

So on now to Monday! Hope for all of us it is a GREAT game! Hope all come through it healthy.

and Tyler Hansborough is NO SHACKDADDY, you should be ashamed of yourself to put his name in the same sentence. When he goes to the NBA he will be worse than Donald Williams, Montross, or Latner and that my friend is BAD

Briefly, the analogy to Tiger is completely wrong. That is individual accomplishment. If UNC wins the tourney, then UNC had a great year; that does not mean the ACC is the best conference. You ignore every other team in the conference. Had Memphis hit a few more free throws in last year's final and beat Kansas, would that have meant Conference USA was the best conference? Don't think so. And no matter how well Memphis did this year, Conference USA still was a very poor conference overall. To paraphrase, "One great team does not a conference make."

Second, regardless of where Ole Roy is from, he's still a douche. You have the timing on the KU AD firing backward. He got fired at Ole Roy's insistence, and THEN Ole Roy, the good ole boy, left AFTER for UNC. The only thing the AD was guilty of was not bowing down to Roy, in order to make him understand that Roy works for him, not the other way around. Ole Roy didn't like having a boss, told the Pres he would leave if the AD stayed, got the AD canned, and then left anyway. Dirtbag move.

Regardless of how many championships Ole Roy ever wins, he will never stop being a douche. He doesn't deserve a pass anymore than any of the other talented jerks (Stoops, Richardson, etc.). I could never in good conscience root for him. And I don't even have any connection to KU.

All year, everyone has said UNC has the best team and some even expected them to go undefeated; maybe the best team of all time. Obviously, that was way overboard. But they probably do have the best players of any team. That doesn't mean their head coach is not a little worm.

Who cares...this is TER...we should all just be naked(I am) HaHa

Yo Z-Man, I am calm, AND you make a number of good points.

What I guess I should have said is the former AD at Kansas was not very warm and fuzzy to Roy. Is he going to the AD Hall of Fame anywhere? What is he even doing now! Being a good AD seems to me to know what you got to work with and using them to your best advantage, not pissing them off. Plus how many Kansas folks were sad to see the AD go and how many sad to see Roy go back home?

If you think your point is better made if the order happened the way you say, I concede that to you. Good point and thanks for helping me see it in a different way.

As far as him coming home I am just glad he did. He is a Carolina guy through and through.

I am not 100% sure(admitting up front) but I think Roy has a great reputation with the other coaches. He is a good ole country guy.

It is OK not everyone likes him or thinks he is a great guy! I have been a Carolina fan for decades and I think he is a great coach! Think he REALLY cares about his players. That is what makes it all so much fun.

Ok UNC and all the jazz throughout the year.

Losing one of your SENOIR LEADERS and  best defensive player was a BIG BLOW!

Losing Tyler Zeller for pretty much the whole year was a Big Blow. He was MUCH better early on than he has been since he came back. Had he had the opportunity to develop all year with himself and his teammates I am of the opinion he would be a much stronger contributor than he has been!

Even with losing those two components and the chemistry they would have brought to the table the Heels Still went 36 and 4. I think! I think it is 36, hope to get to 37. How much better would they have been with those two guys contributing all year? Lots of the praise and expectations came to the Heels taking those two guys in account.

Then lastly, I happen to have some different ideas and feelings on some of this stuff. Cause different, in my opinion, does not make right or wrong, just different. I see my analogy with Tiger as a good one. What I mean by that is it makes sense to me. Since you do not agree I do not think you are wrong, just a different take.

I guess to clarify what I was trying to get at is years from now all anyone is going to remember is Kansas won, not that Memphis would have with a few more free throws. Guess I should have just said it that way.

Having said that many years from now when people take a total tally of how many Championships each conference won they will not remember how many teams they had that pushed them in that conference.

To conclude I just think it is great you expressed yourself passionately without calling me names(hehe) and make some very good points along the way.

Glad we could disagree without being disagreeable.

What I said was Shack was the last Player of the Year who came back and played the year after winning that award. Tyler is the first player since Shack to do that.

He gave them a championship last year, the whole first half he did not make a subs or call a timeout, just be glad he is not playing Kansas this year.
