Let's be honest, we all judge a book by it's cover and especially here..

Do you or have you decided to see or not see a provider based upon her Political stance?
Do you enjoy the differences and or discuss them..

I LOVE IT.. but often wonder why so  many folks avoid the topic....

politics and religion are best left out of the bedroom.

For you youngsters, that was the common utterance of Chevy Chase when he would debate Jane Curtain on SNL News.

I think debating with the opposite sex when they disagree with me is very erotic. I think providers are more reluctant to argue politics just like any business owner would be reluctant with their customer.

I am going to weigh in on this and am in agreement with some of the others. I think the question is fine as you asked it. But in two parts:

1. Do you or have you decided to see or not see a provider based upon her Political stance?

I have never decided to see or not see anyone based on their political stance. I am sure my political stance differs from many others, on both sides of many issues. However, just like James Carville and Mary Matalin, love, passion, and physical attraction do not have to come from political similarity. I can have an exciting time with someone whether we vote in the same line or not, just as I can play golf or have a drink with them and have a stimulating discussion without venom or anger at our differing views.

2. Do you enjoy the differences and or discuss them ?

As I said above, I do enjoy the differences and am perfectly happy to discuss them, rationally, and with passion for my views and theirs.

Here is where the problem lies. I can have one of these rational, and often stimulating political or social view discussions, offering my viewpoints, listening to theirs, and enjoy the learning process. However (always a but)....there is a time and a place for it...and that time and place is not in the bedroom,  nor while lips are locked, nor while a clock is ticking for the sort of companionship that is generally the topic of interest between providers and their clients here.

I don't discuss my political views with my clients while I am conducting business for them. We have a sort of "implied contract" that I am a professional in my field, I get paid for my expertise, not my politics. Once we finish conducting that business, we can discuss whatever, sports, politics, religion,etc....but they do not ever feel like I have given them less of a full service that they paid for, regardless of our voting persuasion, or which team we like.

So...a very long answer to say this... Like you, I LOVE the differences, I LOVE the contrasts, (and you know I mean this sincerely, dear Jessica)...  but I also love the total attention to the MUTUAL pleasures of a quiet hour alone...with the rest of the world and its issues set aside for that time fwe are both investing..

Not only do I not want to piss the gentleman off, but most of the ladies don't share my views as well.

I made the mistake of bad mouthing a politician at a regular's house one day and the mood turned pretty ugly.  Glad it was after all the fun was done and I was just sharing a quick chat before my exit.  That was the last time I saw him as well.

What I usually find is that people have developed a definite passion with little substance.

That really doesn't matter much, if you find a whirling dervish let um whirl!!!!!!

I actually enjoy as a Libertarian listening to one of my best friends rail over and over about
how Obama is ruining this country!

The GENUISES who founded our great country with MANY Deists among them of which I am, proudly, developed a system of government with separated powers! Obama can't really do much by himself, has has to have the cooperation of the Senate and the Congress.

My friend loves to go on and on and never really realizes what he is spewing in reality makes no sense. All of our government officials cooperate to mess everything up. The most likely downfall of our great country is the debt growing and growing and growing! Go ahead google it, what is the cause of the collaspe of empires in the history of the world! It is about the MONEY, mans greed!

We have a 16 trillion dollar debt but Bush left with 10 of it! YES Obama had kicked the spending into high gear once he got elected,  but Bush left him with 10 Trillion and two wars to pay for SOMEHOW! Great thing about being a Libertarian, you can look at Dems and Repubs from an objective point of view! When done that way they both pretty much are stinkers!

Bottom line it does not matter which party is what you could call in control. All our politicians got to get serious about raining in the debt. Bottom line we need a great uniter to come along and be more interested in getting all hands on deck getting that debt situation working to getting taken care of instead of worrying about getting re-elected. Boy he would be HATED for awhile but bottom line unless he comes along and gets this situation under control we are pretty much doomed to be gobbled up by our debt.

The thing that AMAZES me the most is politicians who write the laws exempted themselves from being prosicuted for insider trading. Any of yall know Denny Hastert former Speaker of the House found out about a land deal where the government was about to buy up a bunch of land for a federal highway? Dude found out about thru washington and made a 2 million dollar profit buying the land and then selling it to the government.  All illegal in public but since he was a politician he was never prosecuted for insider trading! Google Denny Hastert 60 Minutes and see it for yourself, DISGUSTING the kahoonas on these people. I really can't see how they sleep at night! Any of yall know how many go to Washington of modest means and leave millionaires???? Both parties do it, they are equally guilty of stuffing their pockets.

Anyway, I never shy away from any discussion on any topic. If I know something about it then maybe I can enlighten someone who is open to learning and if I do not know anything about the subject maybe I can learn something!

I always say discussions are like parachutes, work MUCH better if open!!!!!!!!!!!

I CONCUR!!!

I do not feel uncomfortable with others views mosty cause i am very comfortable with my own.
Due to personal growth as a result of living a life at one point that got me to the complete bottom of failure in every way, yes they call it hitting bottom, I decided to search for what really mattered and resonated in this human experience. That led me to look for TRUTH, like gravity, effects all of EXACTLY the same no matter our understanding of it or lack thereof. Then oxygen has truth in it because again does its thing the same way to each of us regardless of our understanding of it or not.

Religion NOPE, opinions of people trying to make sense of our human condition. While there is some truth there like the golden rule, the rest not so much!

Thomas Jefferson agreed for those who have not really studied our Virginian Stud! He was really an interesting guy but folks usually do not know much about him. He was a DUDE who wrote his own version of the Bible! Some idiots think he was a Christian! LOL A true believer don't go messing with writing their own version of the Bible!!!! Come ON!!!!!!!

He did it cause he saw how The Council of Nicea came to their decisions! Constantine ready to pounce they decided on the Dogma of what Christianty would look like. Looked an awfull lot like what the Pagans aready were used to! Dec 25th Pagan Holiday, moving worship from Saturday to Sunday cause that was the day the Pagans worshipped Mithros their Sun God.Well when you got double the land mass to reign in you got to have something the new half you want to control have something they can recognize if you want them to behave and TITHE!!!!!!!!!!.

So Jefferson did his homework and decided everything decided at the Council of Nicea was done so at the behe of a natural born killer, Constantine and for the next 200 years anyone who questioned what they did were executed. If I were living at that time I would have certainlybeen oneto lose my head cause I question EVERYTHING o see if there is any truth there. Christians wo know anything about this say the night before the big battle Constantine had a religous conversion, then his soldeirs went ou the next day to do battle with Lisinius, the pagan leader of the other part of the Roman Empire with crosses on their shields. Bottom line Constantine had a bad ass army and they won and the rest is history! If Licinious's army had won I would be talking  about how the Pagans tradition had grown over the last 2000 years!!!!!!!! Pretty interesting stuff huh?

So I never shy away from talking Christianity with folks cause I have studied it most of my life. What I find is most Christians know Genesis to Revelations but not much else. Well how it all came about is quite important too!!!!!!! I doubt many of them would be true believers cause looked at objectively it REALLY makes no sense at all. But most people get their faith from their parents and they did not have the internet to fact check the story so they juskeep passing on what they were taught. No bad intent. I just feel anyone objectively fact checking now will have real problems being a true believer. One issue is they are gonna feel like real bad people, blasphemers for even questioning any of it at all. That is the great gift of hitting bottom, you can question anything and find out what you find out!!!!

I even found out about this Dude named Horas, Egyptian Spiritual dude 2000 years before Jesus! Go ahead google their names together and see what you see! Horas 2000 years before Jesus, son of a carpenter named Joseph. born of a virgin Mary it goes on and on. Now a cynic would say the Bishops at the Council of Nicea copied and pasted all the attributes of the Messiah. I won't go that far BUT I will say I could understand a point of view that came to that conclusion.

Just saying discussing things I know a whole lot about with passionatfolks who don't never bothers me. Did at one point but not now. I know if Constantine saw how his creation has developed his jaw would drop. Much like L Ron Hubbard came alive one day to s how many people bought is Sceintology balony! Time and space really does a number on just plain common sense don't it?????

Ok I CONCUR!

You can have a rational if passionate discussion.  You have fall outs with people discussing politics and the the politicians don't give a fuck about you.  What is the point, now you don't like me because of my political views.  I just turn to many people off with my views at work.  Not worth it.
