This could be good or it could be bad. The credit/debit system I use for my non dayjob stuff allows me to bill as any name i want, but the problem is that one call to them, they will name the account holder, so you have to be careful how you set it up. Plus you have the service fees, but those shouldnt be too much as long as you dont go over a certain amount every month, but it is nice to be able to take cards with my phone from anywhere for no monthly fee, only small transaction fees.

Mix this with the availability of prepaid cards and such, it gives you a way to ensure the card is valid  and usable right away by taking the funds off of it instantly, or get the charge failed notice right away. And you can link it to An account elsewhere to withdraw money thats not tied to your regular bank account. There's also chargeback concerns, but you can address those in other ways.

I guess its a matter of pros vs. Cons and what youre comfortable with, but from my perspective, one its someone ive met at least once before, i have no problem with it at all.

Overall though, it could be easier, and be a bit less risky in other ways.

Some years ago a retired provider that I knew had accepted credit cards when she had been active.  The FBI was after the guys that ran the merchant business that "bought" her CC charges.  The contracts that merchant sign with a credit card processor prohibits the merchant from accepting payments for “immoral purposes” (or similar language).  I forget the exact charge but the penalty was an extended vacation in a federal penitentiary.

The FBI started by contacting a client that had signed one of her charge slips.  I don’t know too many johns who are not going to roll over when the FBI knocks on his door.  Anyway the john gave a sworn statement that the CC charge was for prostitution services.

One morning at 6:00 am there was a loud knock on the retired provider’s door and the FBI burst in with an arrest warrant.  They took her to their office where they made her do the perp walk (a photographer for the local newspaper just happened to be waiting at the federal jail).  They finally let her out of jail after she scraped together the money for her bail.  The next morning there was a front page article about her arrest.  (During her two years of "retirement" she had relocated to a new city a 1000 miles away and she had taken a civie job that brought her in contact with a number of senior business executives.  The good reputation that she had worked for was ruined by the newspaper article.)

The FBI pressured her into testifying against their real target----the owners of the merchant business.  They claimed that she had been acting as an agent for the business owners and therefore was as guilty as the owners were.  They offered to drop her charges AFTER she testified against the guys.  Her lawyer advised her that the feds did not have a case but that they had the resources to outlast her.  She agreed to testify, but the trial did not occur for almost two years. During that time she had to make numerous trips to the city where she formerly worked (1000 miles) whenever the DOJ attorneys wanted to interview her or for court appearances ($800 each time).  All the time her own lawyer's meter was running.  If I remember correctly, the targets did a plea bargain the day of their trial and she never had to testify.  The feds just quietly dropped the charges against her.

My purpose in telling this story is that it does not matter whether someone actually broke a federal law.  I still do not know who was right----the FBI or her lawyer.  But if the feds decide to come after you, your pockets are not deep enough to fight them.

You are probably asking how do I know so much about this case.  I hired the lady when she retired.  I found that mature retired providers are great at providing customer service in a civie environment.  They are much more attentive to the customer than most other people are.  As her employer, I was the person she called when the FBI let her make her free call.

While a lot of ladies do it, It's not a great idea. Why? It pretty much creates a very clear paper trail/ client list that can be used against you in court. However, if you'd like to go for it. There are a few options:

Get with a great service and hire a CPA that actually knows what he/she's doing. I know a lot of ladies that use Paypal to accept money privately. Why private? Paypal stopped processing adult transactions years ago. If you were to use them and they found out that you're an escort, they would seize ALL of your funds (Trust me, I know.). I've seen ladies describe their business as a "coffee shop" to get a processor with Paypal haha! Paypal eventually finds out what they're doing and shuts them down. Alertpay was a great processor for adult services but they just stopped processing adult transactions 2-3 weeks ago as well :(. A friend of mine uses CashX. Google them and check them out. They've been around for awhile. There is also CCBILL but the fees are insanely high. Zombaio is a great one as well. There are more companies out there. You would have to do your research on these companies and find the one that fits you. Last I checked Zombaio had the lowest fees in the industry AND they are very reputable. Good luck with everything.

You will want to invest into a credit/debit card terminal which will require a merchant account. Also realize all the money you "earn" via cards will have to be claimed on your taxes. I would research it thoroughly before jumping in...
