I'm praying my dock doesn't end up in the  lake, plus I now have a crack in my ceiling with water leaking into my dining room area. I know it could be worse but DAMN! Here's hoping the people in the coastal area are safe, as well as the eastern counties who are now getting flooded yet again. Two people have lost theirs lives now in NC because they tried to drive and they were swept away! :-(

I'll be glad when tomorrow gets here!!!

Your area is now experiencing the backside of he hurricane with the wind! BTW, WRAL reported that there are over 200 roads in Wake County that are closed!

At least I still have power. Fingers crossed that it remains on throughout the night into tomorrow. NC has over 425,000 without power. Is it tomorrow yet? :-/

Trees down, flooding, cable out, gators swimming in parking area! Staying in with SO chasing her around the house! Going out for football and may stay out until tonight's debate.  Tired of CNN Clinton news network!

Thanks for the thoughts. Power out and water went out on Saturday. 13.5" of rain in 17 hours. Power they say will be back on Saturday. Automated phone call says they have no idea when water will be restored !!!  Generator has power handled for no but you do not realize how much you use or miss wAter until there is none. Finally found a route that was passable out of house but even that had sections up to a whole lane of road washed out. Will be some time before NC and rest of the Southeast recovers.  This water still has to make it to the ocean causing flooding all week to the eas

Bummer:(( Amazing that the midlands got clobbered by a hurricane that was supposed to be a shore-hugging disaster? I picked up 72 bottles of water(to drink), PB, bread, sardines, potted meat, etc. to eat, and wipes to take the place of water to make me smell sociable:)), other non-perishable stuff just in case, AND, hardly needed any of it---go figure, while you got clobbered:((  Take care!

Lost power in my apartment during halftime of State/ND game on Saturday, just got it back less than an hour ago. Caught me by surprise since I was originally told I wouldn't have it back until Sunday . Hope everyone else is fine.
