No one likes to think about it, but somewhere, there's a little girl being snatched from her front yard, chained to a cot, shot up with heroine, and raped multiple times a day. She is terrified, hurting, and more than likely dying as I'm typing this.
And yet, the government wants to dicker around with us. They want to make easy busts, and pretend like we should trust them in any capacity. They actually think this country is stupid enough to believe that the government has their best interest at heart, and almost just as sad, they are right. Things like sex trafficking, child labor in sweat shops, and whether or not citizens deserve any real protection vs surveillance are great for stomping around at campaign time, but they don't actually care. Not in the slightest, because they know constituents will forget faster than officials do. And it is infuriating enough to me that I know that I would be assassinated within 2.5 seconds of announcing my presidential campaign. There are so many people in power for the wrong reasons, and one of my greatest fears is that there is no way to back this train up. Our government is a joke, and it doesn't care about people one bit, and this is unfortunately just one of many supporting examples.
Little girls don't profit the prison system, and it's not like they advertise on easily found escort malls, so they are condemned by our "leaders" to waste away and be forgotten. Very few things make me angry, but this failure on our governments part is definitely one of them...
) OR Adopt, OR feed a stray, whatever, just get a dog^..^ as they are the most unselfish true model for "human beings" on this planet
