This is a private bar scheduled to open in July, I believe. I've read quite a bit about it, and have heard only good things about what is in store.

It is open to members only, at a cost of $300. If I recall correctly members can bring up to three non members on each visit. They even make their own tonic water and sours in house.

They specialize in primer spirits and cocktails.

Some interesting membership rules:

- Members are permitted as many as 3 guests per visit; however a good party is never spoiled by your friend but, rather that friend of a friend who tags along. Do us all a favour and leave him or her at home.

- Please do not speak to a lady at the bar without first being spoken to, it isn’t that kind of a place.

- Members are asked not to discuss events at The Toronto Temperance Society with members of the media. Please respect the privacy of other members.

- Do not ever attempt to order a cosmopolitan, you will be politely asked to leave.

Sounds interesting.. The "seminars and spirited educational events", I would enjoy. It will be interesting to see how it works out on College St.
