I would say early June to end of July is the best. There is the famous Jazz festival, Formula 1 Grand Prix and the start of the comedy festival..Lots going on..Enjoy

Every season is festival season in Montreal, but summer is truly the height of festival frenzy. This wide variety of events attracks people all over the world :) Formula 1 week is one of the best time.
