I will be visiting the city in a few weeks, and wondering how much the protests are affecting the city?  I see the news videos, but of course they show only the extreme examples of (hopefully) rare violence and clashes with police. Thanks for any information.

It is definitely nothing to worry as it is concentrated around Square Victoria generally, but to everybody's surprise this has gone for too long. Some students are not giving-up.

Thank you both for your responses. From your feedback, I can see that it looks like it won't be an issue for my visit.  I have been following the news about the issues, and the students really won't give up!

Soon there will be protesters protesting the protesters...lol
