My friend just forwarded the story of the Canadian elections and the new conservative government.

What do these elections really mean? Will your health care be privatized? Will the environmental laws be done away with?

I'd appreciate local viewpoints on this.

Nothing just like all the elections in other countries

It means nothing, we still pay taxes in a country run by self serving morons who are under qualified for their own careers let alone running a multi trillion dollar enterprise.

We will have waste, taxes, corruption and in the end we are no better off than we were before...you can change the name of the country and its the same story everywhere...
