There are other sources the get more posts and receive more attention than this board and that takes away from the amount of attention this venue gets.  Lovely Anik is right when she says that people tend to be more behaved when the ladies are around (as it should be) but the value of this board is in the detailed reviews.  I post here fairly frequently and also on a popular Montreal board.  I post my reviews here and more of my overall experiences on the other board. Posting requests for information may help to liven this place up, or it just may be that this particular group of people don't have a lot more to say.  Between the spreadsheet and the oterh board, there is very detailed coverage of Montreal.  The detailed reviews here are the icing on the cake, and I would wish more cities were so well covered.

I don't know your region (I'm from the Boston area). Can anyone tell me why this board isn't more active?

Are hobbyists and providers using other online resources (similar websites)?

Is your hobby community less active (at least online)?

Are providers in your area less likely to promote themselves online?

It's been my experience with other TER discussion boards that, if the providers post, the hobbyist will follow. I've had some success in helping the TER Boston and Atlanta online communities become very dynamic. I would like your help in making this online community more active. Any advice/opinion that you care to offer will be appreciated.

I believe with the restrictions for posting ads here (montreal TER) or another more active board in a community I visit, I prefer to keep my name in the city I will visit rather than here in Montreal.  Otherwise, I do occasionally post here, but as you can see it takes a good while before it falls off the board... whereas other cities you need to keep your week to week status otherwise your name might be seen for 2 hours and then gone!

I try to be respectful of the one ad per week rule (although when I do post here (montreal TER) I will still post on one of the other city boards and hope no one will take away my posting privileges for doing so (Yikes... puh-puh-puh-please dont)  Also, if my experience with other boards concerning Montreal are right, most guys dont like the intervention of the ladies... they feel like they have to behave when we are present... I think they should be respectful no matter what (I say excuse me if I hiccup by myself!?  Go figure).

TER is great for reviews... when you look at Montreal New Reviews... those are the postings, and they are mainly of girls who travel to the US (I may be wrong), so they attract visitors to Montreal to the girls reviewed most recently... which cannot be bad.  Good luck here!

I think you have serious competition from MERB. Plus the spreadsheet reduces the usefulness of the reviews. Don't know what you can do to improve the situation. Don't think more provider posts is the answer.

maybe if the board were a tad more user friendly.  I tried to post a message a couple of days ago and still haven't seen it.  Since, by tomorrow it will be too late for the post to be of any utility to me, I doubt very seriously if I'll bother posting again

This is the first time I've seen your username on any messages on this (Montreal) board. Whenever anyone posts to this board, the message is approved quickly. Maybe you posted to another board. If you attempted to post to this board, your post never got to me.

that's interesting since I see that my post has finally made it even though you say you never got it.  In any event, I'll not use this board again.

Actually I received that post in the same batch as your complaint post and they were released to the board yesterday. For the record, that post was not submitted a couple of days before. I was less than 24 hours before. Look at the date/time stamp.

Excellent resource, like its sister/parent board in Toronto (www.terb.ca).

In Toronto, I rely on TERB first. The community is friendly and helpful (even if the guys whine a little too much, not realizing how good they really have it). I use TER as a compliment to TERB. Most, if not all ladies I reviewed on TER in Toronto were first vetted from posts on TERB.

TERB/MERB are well established quantites, and they are Canadian, so it might be difficult to break through, but more information about the communities are certainly not a bad thing.
