When I was a little girl, I was giddy with excitement on Christmas Eve. I couldn't wait to see the beautifully wrapped presents and finally be allowed to tear through the paper and discover what wonderful surprises I'd received. It didn't take me long, though, to discover that giving is even sweeter than receiving. I still love receiving a carefully chosen token of affection, but I enjoy giving even more.
