I started a thread called "Zipsters" on the General Discussion board (1/15/2010 10:53:54 PM) and my ego is bruised by the lack of followups. I hope my fellow Bostonians will take a look. I see ZipCars all over Boston and environs so maybe I should have posted it here, instead. Anyway, I was making a comparison between info on the ZipCar website and hobbying.

Well, I thought it was funny.

You never posted a link either
here's a link idea->
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zipcar

Maybe posting links to what your referring to in the right forum could help others to respond to your posting more efficiently?

Here's a link to a forum that may better suit your needs Darling...

The term zipster might make you think of your zipper. Thinking of your zipper makes you think about your dick.  Are you happy or sad about these thoughts?  Thinking about your dick makes you think about the urge to f*&k, which leads you to think about the need to hobby.

Sheesh. I don't think I'm supposed to post the same thing to multiple boards, but I don't think the two repliers read the original Gen Disc entry. Edited down:
================================================

I was looking at the ZipCar web pages and some of the info somehow seemed relevant by analogy. Substitute "ZipCar" with your term of choice (hobbying; provider); sub "car" with another term of choice (GF; wife; ball and chain):

-------------------------------------------------

is zipcar for me?
who exactly is the car-sharing type?
The beauty of the Zipcar community is that we're all different shapes, sizes, and colors. But if you're unsure if Zipcar is for you, we've put together some scenarios.

Zipcar members report an average monthly savings of more than $500 compared to car ownership.

I don't want the hassle of owning a car.
Maybe you're looking to shed a car, or maybe you're looking for a way to never have to own at all. Either way, Zipcars practically take care of themselves: they have parking spaces [incall], plus cleaning [shaving and waxing] and maintenance crews.

I want to do my part to take care of our planet.
Once in a while I need a second car.
Thinking of adding another car to the family? First check out how much you could save by using Zipcar instead.

Reserving Zipcars online (in seconds) beats the heck out of renting a moving truck, or bothering your brother-in-law for his pick up  reserve your own. [Except for "zipcars" with impossible to satisfy screening policies.]

I want a cute car to match my new shoes.
There's a Zipcar for every moment (and outfit). Go ahead and try them all. [If only I could!!]

I want to impress my boss.
We have a couple of solutions: take them out in a swanky BMW, or save your company hundreds and hassles by joining Zipcar for Business. We see a promotion in your future.

We try not to typecast anyone. So even if you don't see yourself here, Zipcar might still be for you. Convenience and savings seem to work for almost everybody.
----------------------------------------------

It looks like ZipCars cost around $10-$15 per hour, including gas. The other "ZipCars" are a lot more.
