Yup I used them when I was in Boston in December. Though, Lyft is also really great and to use their "Black Car" type service, it was cheaper by about $15 sometimes for the same distance AND a newer car.

lyft doesnt have black car service but in boston they just add premium its basically the same as a regular lyft if you get lucky

Uber and Lyft want all the business they can get. I have driven for both.  Yes, follow the rules and DO YOUR JOB, but no such "warnings" have gone out to drivers.  Uber does not even encourage tipping.  They have enough PR troubles right now, they're not going to send out such a warning to drivers, as the info would certainly make it to the Press/Internet.
