Actually, people do send mail with recommendations, and over the many years I have found this to be good info. that supplements my searches. Thanks for your input.

I have to agree with the OP.  I have done exactly what he did when traveling and I get plenty of PM responses from ladies and even a few recommendations from hobbyists. It's not always about what people post for all to see.

Lighten up, we all know about the search function...
