I see your point but.....
I have a budget and at a certain price point I just have to move on. I have seen some ladies that ran a "special" and brought her rates into my budget so I indulged. I didn't say anything about her lower rates as the reason but it sure helps!  

One thing about this hobby is I like the variety of ladies I get to meet. Woman that wouldn't even look at me on the street! So I like to "sample" and don't usually repeat so if her rates go back up again I move on. If I like a lady and we hit it off I do repeat and have some ATF's but they are in my budget range so I can justify it.

I don't think it makes me "cheap". I go on vacation and rent a Cady, get home and drive around in my Chevy is all

Not sure about that. Here's the thing; there are many choices for ladies at many different rates.
If a lady is $350.00 and offers a "special" Then sees new clients who think she is amazing.
They will get the higher rate next time.

I have been with many who have raised their rates and offered me a "grandfathered" rate which is cool but I always pay their current rate.  

I do put rules on myself for rates. Specials are "specials" like a previous "poster"  stated, they should not be all of the time specials

Just because you're dropping your rates for a quick week or something has nothing to do with demand as far as I'm concerned.   We're damned if we do, damned if we don't.  I get emails from TER guys daily asking when I'm planning to run a special.  If I run a special, it means I look desperate as a provider?

Um no.  It means I'm giving a price break to my boys for the week. Whether they're new to me or not. I often do it around Christmas and holidays because I know a lot of the extra money is being spent on family things.  

What is it man.  Do you guys want an occasional break in the rate or not?
